So…I guess I’m finished? I’ve aquired all the cars allowed, won all the races in career on “unbeatable” ( whatever that means)…Painted all the cars, tuned all the cars. Sold all the repeats, bought one car from the AH. Thought about going online racing. So I went to Youtube to check it out. Umm…NO THANK YOU! Here’s the thing though…All I ever wanted was to tune and paint the 2011 CTS Caddy. Can anyone please explain to me why this car is still locked… I’m finished with the GAME. Why are cars still locked?..Charles

Game design. These cars will be in various comps, specialty vendor, and/or reward cars for league play at some future point. Eventually all will be in the auction house at some point.
It’s like this to i guess make the game last longer and maybe encourage other car usage? Not sure if that’s really accomplished.
You may like leagues when they are introduced on Tuesday. Usually the racing is better than standard multiplayer but participation may not be great.

Now this is the only reason we have content that is time gated.
T10 loves to boast about how many weekly players the Forza series has.
Even if those players just log in once a week to get the Specialty Dealer cars or do a Forzathon.
They’re just making us play their KPI game.
It’s not actually a system that benefits us, it benefits their reporting and that is all.

Same boat. Car crate RNG SUCKS!!!
I had hoped the car loot tables would be updated by now… wasted somewhere between $12-$15 million in crates to only get repeat badges (can’t sell), driver suits and cars. Aside from initial VIP crates, I’ve only received 1 badge, 3 driver gear (lost Karateka in game crash) and 2-3 tier 5 cars that were Legendary from crates.
Just need the Lykan Hypersport & Tamo Racemo for all manufacturer badges. I really want the Jeep Wranger (own IRL), '09 SRT (owed IRL), Nissan IDx NISMO and Koenigsegg Regera.
Half of the 650+ cars I own are painted and tuned, was considering buying duplicates for variations (wide body/race car/street car) but received and limit notice

Well Leagues start tmw, first 2 are no collision ghost so you won’t have to worry about wreckers. It’s still possible to have good races in hoppers among the chaos as long as you get away from it. The more you play the easier it becomes to avoid idiots

Car Pass, Car Packs beyond the first 6 the Car Pass covers, cross-promotional car packs from various makers / movies / other franchises - these could also all be construed as a cynical way to keep us coming back. Or they could be seen as new ways to enrich our enjoyment of the game. Agatha Christie novels could be viewed the same way: a cynical ploy to keep us shelling out bucks for what is essentially the same story, or years worth of enjoyment immersed in mystery tales that play out on largely familiar tracks.
But, yeah, I did kinda trail off my game play on each of the FM & FH games once I felt like I’d “played it out”. And it was frustrating to discover that years later I could finish ALL BUT ONE of the FM4 career races - because the servers where I could trade for that one last car had all been shut down. At least this game’s servers will likely still be up for a while; if you’ve got friends that keep playing after you’ve moved on, you could ask them to let you know when your one sought-after car comes available.
How did u get to 42? I’m a quarter into 41 and nothing left to buy. As for leagues…been there, done that. My post was a little tounge in cheek…Been doing the Forza thing for better than 10 years… It’s just that this particular edition is just missing so much. Then with common cars locked with zero apparent reason as to why…Also no rivals to speak of, unless u wanna run T10’s tune and crappy tyres. No, not feeling it. One can only paint so much. I know that there will be at least two additions to this game, and I’m holding out hope that they will be a pleasant suprise. Till then T10…how bout unlocking the cars and giving back class based rivals…Please? …Charles
Very easy to be at Tier 42 if you do the Bounty Hunter Events in Rivals and Beat the Time set. So far there have been 2 Bountys for a toltal of 5 cars for thoes who Beat the time set Less than 1% beat the times set so ye not for the every day average player but only for the Elite racers. But you did get a car for entering I guess how lucky for us no elite players.
Mine is on the way towards 42 and I own every car that is not locked and multiple FE’s, painting and tuning to kill time as well, however, any duplicate is not counted towards collector tier so just have to wait. Some people might have got a couple of extra cars in Rivals unlocked with one of the challenges I got the Audi but think there were a few other cars as well and I am not sure if that Pizza car adds to score either. I have seen a few 42’s but whether that is staff or not I don’t know. I would have thought it would have gone to Tier 50 over time but it has taken soooooooooooooo long to get from 39 to 41 I will probably die of old age first.

Rivals is the last mystery so maybe after the leagues they will have something new for rivals. We can only hope.
I’m at 42. The pizza roll cars, bounty hunter, and SD put me over 41. I’m in the same boat. At this point in other games it would be class based leaderboard rival hotlapping. They focused this game on collecting useless stuff, playing Barbie doll dress up, and restricting cars into divisions, rather than the pure enjoyment of racing, tuning, and getting faster. Online is a mess, but I’ve seemed to get out in front(avoid wrecks) and occasionally find smaller rooms with 15 or less to be much more enjoyable. Definitely feel like the soul of the game is missing this time around. Fingers crossed for improvements.

I’m at 297,145/300,00. Towards tier 42, have missed two of the cars from bounty, maybe three. My score includes dlc, but not today’s SD card.
I got over the 42 mark today. One of the cars in SD I already had so didn’t bother with it but it told me it wasn’t going to add to my collector tier score anyways. I think it is clear that we will only get 2 SD cars a week, not 3 and the other will be a repeat to give those who missed out a chance. I suspect I will have false teeth and some form of retirement fund by the time I hit Tier 43 though.
Edit - I just got a 2017 Porsche #92 Porsche GT Team 911 RSR for 0 CR at next level up which was better than a poke in the eye with a rusty nail. All is forgiven over the SD Titan now and I take back everything I said about those sweet guys and girls at T10.
