I would like the option to buy any year make and model of car ever made. Forza can do this if we ask enough. And the 1982 Mustang is a car I grew up with since my Father has had his since I can remember.
The 1993 mustang has almost the exact body.
I had an 82 LX Notchback, Loved that car.
Is that all?
This thread will get closed quickly but before it does there are huge differences between the 82 and 93 mustangs. While the general body shape may be similar the styling, engines, colors, headlights, fuel injection vs. carburetion is all different. Plus the 93 model in the game is a cobra R that had a 200 car production run (not to be confused with the regular cobra of the era).
I don’t think that having every year of a production run is necessary but at least one from every generation. That particular part of mustang history has been overlooked. Much in the same way the second and third generation BMW 5-Series was overlooked for many forza games. I would love to see all of the Mecerdes SL cars in the game, and much more. I always appreciate when turn10 show a cars lineage, and not just the newest, shiniest piece at the front of the line. Corvettes are a fantastic example of this. Mustangs are also very well represented but an early 80s Mustang would certainly have a home in forza. It could even be a later 80s Mustang SVO with the turbo 4 cylinder (just a thought).
Or better yet a 1984 mustang IMSA GTO
No, they can’t. Trademark exists so that others can’t just profit off of another’s brand. Turn 10 needs permission from every brand they depict in each game they produce, and not just every brand but every model within that brand, at a minimum:
But even if Turn 10 had permission to include every car they wanted, it would be pragmatically impossible to do so according to Turn 10 quality standards:
And even if they were magically able to license and render every car, and calculate the balancing required not only for every car in stock form but also for every upgrade part for every car… there’s still plenty of reason not include everything just because you can when designing a game that has a theme or a focus or something special about it.
For car models you’d like to see added to the game please continue to use the consolidated thread linked in the Wish Lists Go Here post pinned above. Turn 10 does pay attention to these requests, but community wishes are just one of many factors involved in deciding what goes into the game. Set your expectations accordingly.
