Can someone help me to confirm? Do you have the “remove car” option?
It seems I removed “1963 Volkswagen Beetle” by mistake, I obtained this from the “Safe Hands” accolade.
But “1963 Volkswagen Beetle” has no purchase option even when the car is unlocked by the acolade and I’m not able to buy back or recover this car that I need for 2 more acolades.
The obvious way to avoid this problem is to let people sell barn finds (and the Beetle if that also can’t be sold). Then, when people don’t have a clue what they are doing and randomly sell one, they can just buy one back. The rest of us could then buy a second one if we wanted one for a different class or sell them if we had no interest in the car.
Wasn’t this in response to an issue with selling barn finds in the last game? Can’t remember what the issue was exactly but I seem to remember a few complaints. Seems like they forgot to apply it to the Beetle as well
There were always thousands of barn find cars in the AH in FH4 at minimum prices so, if it was, the only people complaining would have been the fairly small demographic of people who really wanted to be the original owner of their cars but were too careless to check what they were listing. That doesn’t seem to justify the current position to me.
Car not sellable in the auction house was an issue back right after the LEGO Expansion. As some clever guys had sold there LEGO cars like the Bugatti and could not finish some of the accolades and the races in the expansion as they needed the sold cars for that. I in my opinion would only sell cars that are not available in the autosalon if I had finished all the races and the accolades (which no surprise already shown the need of the car later on to complete), before I would sell them.
But there were some players who sold them and then was taken by surprise as PG took these cars out of the auction house for good - so other cannot repeat that error. Now they gotten rid of the cars and had no chance to get them back.
I think that’s the reason that you cannot auction ultra rare cars (i. e. barn finds) at the moment. A bit harsh I find is the fact, that you even cannot sell the gifted cars for the loyality rewards playing older Forza titles.
And I would like to buy some extra copies of the VW Beetle, the R4 and the 73’ Porsche 911 Carrera RS as some of them has interesting body kits.
But I have no problem with the cars not being sold - as I am a true Forza player and of course want to have at least one of every car in my garage - I am collector and I want them all! Yeah!
To remove a vehicle from the garage don’t you have to go through 2 or 3 warning messages??? I don’t see how you can accidently remove any vehicle from the garage!!
I dont get it either. This is just the classic post from someone who did it on PURPOSE and regret it after because he needed the car for something lol. Plain and simple.
Dont worry, you will have plenty of times to get that car through other stuff, like playlists or whatnot. There are no “exclusive” cars anymore in forza horizon. That was an urban legend of FH4, but it was a completely big lie.
I don’t think that’s the case with the barnfinds at all - there was a glitch were for the completition of the Forza Super 7 was a barnfind was granted (the Jaguar I think) and the problem there was the fact, that they who owned that car already as a barnfind cannot get rid of it, as they cannot sell or gift or delete that car.
Giving these car as rewards for seasonal challenges would be a very bad design idea. Not that there isn’t already a lot of them in the game.
Maybe the Beetle will come back some time as Forzathon Shop Item, but as anyone of the players in the game get the car for free I really doubt it.
Maybe the to can fill out a support ticket regarding that problem. Seems to me that the tag “unsellable/ungiftable/undeletable” should be set for the “Vocho” also.
I did it also. Having played fh4 I would have never known you could get rid of a car without being able to get another one. Forza recognized it should not be able to be removed as well. I have an open ticket about it now. Is there any other car in the game that can be removed, not recovered and has accolades tied to it?
I am so stupid i did accidentally removew 1963 beetle from my garage. now i cant recover it. any development here? cant find it in auction house also. and replaying the story i think will not recover it also.
Only chance to get your hands on that car is starting the game complete new from scratch - reset your savegame.
First wanted to post a text asking how a car racing game fan could delete one of the most iconic cars ever build - but just about three hours ago my cat did some mother milk kicking moves on my keyboard and deleted a handfull of cars from my garage (only some Acuras so no really damage was done)…
