2011 Xbox 360 (Black). It wasn’t used for about 6 months, then I fired it up in January and loaded Forza Horizon. It worked fine and I purchased the Rally Expansion pack. A couple months went by and I started up my Xbox to see there was a system update, which I applied. After the update I can not get my Forza Horizon DVD to be recognized. There are ZERO scratches on the DVD.
So at this point it looks like I’m out $80 for the limited edition (overpriced) version of FH as well as $20 for the rally pack add-on. That’s an expensive digital paper weight!
Forza 4 works fine. I went through an hour console diagnosis with Microsoft and they say my console is fine. They suggested I try to exchange the disc with GameStop. Went to GameStop and they only offered me a trade-in value, plus I’d have to buy the game again (it’s still $45, even though it’s so old?). But there’s no guarantee that will fix my issue.
Any suggestions on what can be done to fix this? From looking through the forums and Google searches, I’m not the only one having this issue.
