Xbox One - Searching for Vinyl Groups causes the game to crash (repeatable issue).

Hi there,

I’ve found an issue which causes the game to crash; I have tried it multiple times with similar results.

  • From the main menu go to [Cars].
  • Select [Paint and Customise].
  • Select [Create Vinyl Group].
  • Press (A) and select [Apply a Vinyl Shape].
  • Use [Search] and search for anything.
  • Once you switch between the [Recommended Groups] and [Search Results] tabs the game will crash.

Tech details:

  • Console: Xbox One (original, retail)
  • Game version: Ultimate Edition (digital)
  • Internet connection type: Wired

On a related note, when viewing or searching for user-created Vinyl Groups, only the first 10 results are viewable. The remainder are stuck in a permanent loading loop and will only show the loading circle icon.

Wow… even PJ is having troubles with the game…

Forza 7, even in early access, is proving to be a hot mess… I imagine the influx of problems when it lauches globally next tuesday. The forums will get flooded with complaints.

I honestly think the internal beta phase wasn’t enough to reproduce the sheer number of problems that can arise from small changes in manufacturing and assembly of consoles… and it can get even worse on PCs due to the enormous differences in configuration. But now that the game is in the wild, they’re bound to happen.

To be fair this is something that couldn’t really be tested until players started uploading content but yes, it’s an issue.

The Livery Editor has a bunch of UI issues as well but this one in particular is the only one to cause the game to crash.

I’ve had no crashes, YET…!! but I can’t upload any designs at the moment it just hangs also I can’t download “user-created Vinyl Groups” as “PJTierney” says…
