Hello Forza team, loving the game but having a few issues with private multiplayer:
Xbox One - Create Multiplayer Match is not working and results in this error message at each attempt. We’ve tried this several times with different players attempting to create the lobby, they all result in the same error message.
Me and my friend have the exact same issue. We are both on PC.
Thanks for your reply, we thought others might be having the same issues.
I can’t see this listed as a known issue so it would be good to get this highlighted to the devs. Probably the best thing about Forza is the freedom that private multiplayer allows.
Hopefully we’ll get some news soon. I’m going to make a call to Xbox support too later when I have time.
I tried this morning and it said I must invite a friend 1st just to create a private lobby… Is this right?
Yes that’s right, you have to invite at least one friend in before you can attempt to create the private match. Once you do that you then run into the issue here.

Any update on this it seems silly that you cant start a private lobby to get thing ready for a meet in advance with out having to invite a friend in 1st… Also No option to save a multiplayer race for future events seems anti productive.
Amen! This is so annoying and clearly sub-par to every other racing game. I’ve been organising private races in Forza and other racing games for over 10 years and I haven’t came across a restriction so stupid as this. It completely delays the start unnecessarily…
