Would you reconsider not using the Japanese flag in WW2 era plz

Hello, I am one of FH’s fan who was really really excited for FH4. It was one of the most expecting game this year for me until I found that the Japanese flag in WW2 era(aka rising sun) was used for the icon of a certain championship(Championship related to Japanese brand I guess).

I am Korean who was educated the WW2 history where Japanese did a lot of things(war crimes such as slavery, torture and massacre, forced prostitute etc)to our ancestors and Chinese(Nanjing massacre) under THAT flag in WW2 era.

I think it is only Japanese who would feel proud of their original flag as a victorious history. Other than Japan, It is just not me who feels uncomfortable to see that mark in the game that is launching world wide and I don’t think that is a good way to expand Forza brand even it is about a few countries. Using that mark in Korea and China is seriously offending because we take that flag is equivalent to what Hakenkreuz means to Jewish or other Europe contries.

I really really want you to remove or at least adjust for Asian version outside of Japan… Actually, there was the same issue with JRPG title Persona5 on PS4 and SEGA left that rising sun out from the game for Korean and Chiense versions. I just want to play my favorite racing game( FH was the reason I bought XB to tbe honest)and want my fellow Korean users to play it too. If it is there when it releases, I would cancel my ultimate edition pre order for sure. I would feel bad to miss FH4 but just don’t want to support the game using this flag like it is a simple design.

If we did that I don’t think there’d be many flags left in the game, you’d also have to get rid of the Mercedes and Auto Union GP cars and the beetle.

What I meant was only Rising Sun flag that looks like red circle with stretching lines, not the whole Japanese brand or championship itself.

When forza horizon 3 is unvailed, there were rising sun mark on riverty walk bodykit, but it was deleted in release version.
And also, many sportsmen who used rising sun mark got complaint from fans and stopped using that mark.

Then you think wrong. Many countries are flying flags under which they’ve committed terrible deeds. The US and UK are two rather prominent ones. Italy was still flying its green, white, and red during WW2.

Japan’s Rising Sun was in use well before WW2, and is still in use today.
