Widebody kits

Hi everyone. I was just thinking would it be possible for Playground Games to port over the widebody kits from the Forza edition cars on FM7?

IIrc from the latest stream PG is looking into adding more bodykits. Whether they will be FM7 ports, stuff from older games (like the 458 Italia widebody) or new ones, we simply don’t know.

Honestly I’m losing hope that they’ll ever bring the FE kits from FM7.
Every monthly stream they get a question related to bodykits in their Q&A section and is always the same answer for the last 2 or 3 months. “we’re looking into it” “we got something planned for the future”.
At this rate this will end up like the paintable brake calipers.

I’d imagine Ferrari weren’t too pleased with the Liberty Walk bodykit and insisted on it’s removal from Horizon 4.

It’s frustrating that The Crew 2 recently got the 812 Superfast with all sorts of customizable parts and we have zero Ferrari customization in Forza (not saying it’s the devs fault it just sucks we lost bodykits going from Horizon 3 to 4)

Yeah, Ferrari are quite picky on how their cars are represented in video games. That’s why they don’t show up in Need for Speed often. Ferrari probably don’t want players going around with slammed 458’s with riveted-on flares and duck tail spoilers because of Liberty Walk being an aftermarket parts company associated with tuner cars. Whereas in the Crew 2, it’s probably just a few wings, canards, splitters and trims; stuff that you’d likely find in a Ferrari brochure as optional extras.
I do think the 2018 Mustang GT was a missed opportunity for plenty of customisaiton options. PG could have implemented two bodykits (hoods and wings) to make it look like either the RTR Spec 5 or the Deberti Design. If you look on the Audis you can find aftermarket parts like Abt Sportsline or Caractere. It’s like having 3 cars in one.

They must not have seen the front track width upgrades on the 599

Not just video games. Ferrari has a well established track record of being “picky” about how their cars are represented in media (e.g. journalistic reviews), social media (e.g. randos instas), etc, etc…

Here’s a fun read about part of that How Ferrari Spins

But back on topic; I love wide body kits, especially the weirder ones. It’d be great if we could get the ones from FM7 at least.

The Forza themed widebody kits are really great looking. I hope they keep building and expanding the feature. It’s a pity that we haven’t got the FM7 FE cars in Horizon 4 to begin with.
I’d love to see more race mod bodykits like what the Bentley Continental GT Speed has (even though it wasn’t a full blown widebody kit) with adjustable downforce.

I’m really looking forward to this update, but I’m giving up that it won’t happen for the time being.
They have already postponed their already announced schedule twice. And no details are revealed at all.
Will an aftermarket body kit be added? Or are they all “Forza” kits? And is it diverted from FM7 Forza Edition cars or is it all made new kits? We don’t know anything.
Of course, they didn’t reveal details in other past updates. And there are other updates that have been postponed, such as the features to sell a car directly from a wheel spin.
But the longer the postponement continues, the deeper my suspicion and disappointment.
