Why is the Abarth 124 Spider listed as a Fiat?

Seeing as the car is badged as an Abarth and not a Fiat. I believe it was also referred to as an Abarth on the article in which the car was revealed for the DLC pack.

Its a fiat 124 spider abarth, not an abarth 124

It’s likely based on the North American model where Abarth is treated as a trim level of Fiat rather then a separate brand. The other Abarth’s are either European exclusive models (695 Biposto and Punto) where it’s treated as a brand or predate the company being sold (595 esseesse).

Because it is a Fiat. Abarth is a subsidiary of Fiat in the same way AMG is a subsidiary of Mercedes.

Must be an American thing, in Europe it’s sold as Abarth (w/ the proper badges)

In Italy it’s fiat 124 abarth
