After completing a race I noticed that I have no VIP And no 2x credits. If I try to do anything that requires VIP I get a notice saying I have to purchase VIP ? And this has started to happen frequently now.
The thing is I have VIP with all the extras because I have the ultimate version of the game so why Is it ok one minute and the next it’s gone. I find that I have to exit the game and then go back into it to see if I am VIP again so now I have to check this before playing every time. I really hope I don’t loose everything after playing for 135 hours all my cars and dlc’s etc, that would drive me mad.
Has anyone else had this problem and what can be done to fix it ?
Or is it something I am doing wrong and I can’t see what I am doing wrong because I always exit the game fully and properly.
there’s a lot of issues with Xbox Live/Windows Store communicating with the game. Load up the game then go to the marketplace tab and check the VIP bit in there. If it says purchased or owned, then you’re good to go. If it prompts you to buy it, go ahead and buy it. You’ll get a message saying that you already own this content, and your VIP status will be restored :0)
Is your internet connection good and consistent? I’m in the stix and get a whopping 1mb/s download. Xbox live has issues with this, sometimes it works, other times Nada, it can work on Xbox upstairs, and at the same time, not work on Xbox 5’ away from router.
PlayStation has no such issues as my oldest does gt sport and can even race online lag free. I’ve resorted to enabling a hot-spot on my phone before turning on may Xbox, since doing this, Xbox live generally works fine for recognizing what digital content I own, such as VIP, car pass, hoonigan etc. I don’t online race with it, or download, it’s just a way for my Xbox to save game saves effectively and verify digital content. Oddly, the 360 works fine on my home internet with live. It’s the one thing I hate about the Xbox one and being so internet dependant.
