Thank you developers. If you block a car please dont forget to unlock it when actual season starts.
Interesting that the Mclaren 12C is unlocked today. Is it hard to keep it mind new cars when start a season??
Weird that they bragged in the live stream that the Impala could get the full police car treatment, but you can only put the safety car lights on it and not actual police lights. Always something messed up.
It just has an option for blue lights which are incorrect and look COMPLETELY ridiculous on an American police car. They are supposed to be red and blue like the Crown Vic. Yet another screw up.
Most of the police cars I see around here have straight blue lights, yes, there are some with red and blue, but say that just blue lights are incorrect for an American police car is wrong and short sighted.
The Impala was an older police model and I’ve never seen one with a modern style all blue European looking light bar like that. It looks wrong and makes no sense. I know there are places with modern cars that will use all blue (None here that I know of though. We always have to have red and blue). I’m not being “short sighted”. I’m being logical. There should be an option for the proper light bar for the era and the standard blue one that they seem to have on every car in H4. Why is there a proper looking red and blue one for the Crown Vic and not the Impala if only blue is the proper choice? It makes no sense if you think about it. Just laziness. The change to all blue in some places in North America is a fairly recent one. Older police cars actually had all red and red with blue. I’m in Canada. We’re red and blue. Looking up pictures of North American Police vehicles will show you that very few have all blue lights.
They didn’t use Impalas, but rather the Caprice, which is technically the same car in this case, the Impala SS is heavily based on the police Caprice.
That argument sounds better that way, than it did before. I agree that period correct lightbars should be used; however, I can still find you several examples of modern police vehicles with all blue lights.
I know some states have all blue (I said it in my post if you would have read it all the way through) but a quick google search will show red and blue and even just red (for older cars) is the dominant color scheme. A very modern all blue light bar does NOT work on the older Impala. Think about every movie or TV show you’ve ever seen with flashing police lights It’s ALWAYS red and blue lighting. Never just blue. All blue is relatively new (probably since 2015) due to the fact new forms of lighting like LED are very visible even when only blue is used. I’m in Canada and police are always red and blue (may change in the future). From what I read when police just use blue here it’s just to let you know they’re there and isn’t considered an emergency or anything you should be concerned with.
Does anyone know if they unblock the 96 Impala SS in the auction house? I spent all afternoon trying to purchase this car only to find out later that evening the car was blocked from the auction house. That is so not cool.
Same thing happened to me. An easy way to check and see if it is unblocked is to go to the Auction House and try to auction the car. If it is available to sell it will say preparing car for a few seconds and take you to the sell screen. Of course back out it you don’t want to sell it. But, if it isn’t available to sell it will have an error. Error Processing car or something along those lines.
I really hate in Forza Horizon 4 that we cannot purchase the prize locked cars at the autoshow or auction house. The story chapters and forzathons are really difficult, just like the 96 Impala SS I want about 2 or 3 of them, same thing with the 88 Monte Carlo SS, 93 Mustang Cobra R, and 02 BMW M3 GTR. Not cool to me either
They probably existed, but I don’t recall ever seeing a 90’s Impala police car here in the US. Even Camaro driving State Troopers were a more common sight in the 90’s. The Impala was very popular in hip hop culture though. Lower it, paint it a bright color and put the biggest wheels possible if you want to look the part. ; )
