Wheels - profile resets to default if the game is started without the wheel plugged in

The currently-selected wheel profile is correctly remembered between sessions if the wheel is always plugged in for each session, but if you start the game without it plugged in, the next time you start with it plugged in it’ll reset to the default profile. This doesn’t reset the custom profiles, but you have to select it again. In the Change Input Mapping section of the settings, there is no tab for the wheel if it isn’t plugged in, although there is for a controller even if you don’t have one plugged in.

Additionally, the custom wheel profiles aren’t in numbered order anymore.

This is also true for the Thrustmaster T150.

If you have same problem press pause menu home screen then press back to game it will reset back to wheel settings you will need to do this after fast travel and for multiplayer it works so you can still use wheel .Also try starting game with controller when in game drive off with controller on stop then turn controller off now plug in steering wheel now it will work properly without any resetting.
