I see people complaining about it but I personally love the road trips I mean sure it can be repetitive and time consuming but I enjoy the relaxing drive between the locations after each championship and ofc I can always take a different route than the game suggests so to me I’m happy with the road trips but interested to hear what others think
I mean a lot of people hated it. Top repetitive they could have just ended it there, you get more road trip time than actual time racing.
In the Xbox 360 version apparently it just teleports you there or something? I don’t know, I might be wrong, road trips were a big part on FH2 so maybe they didnt but it was certainly better.
I love the road trip system.
Keeps a feeling of progression to the mainline game that was lost in the later Horizons.
Yes, it’s an Xbox One-only feature, the FH2 360 version just sends you over to the next area.
Would be nice if FH6 includes some of the older games as expansions, to allow the younger people to play through older Horizon experiences.
The younger people? I just started playing FH4 at 40, now bought FH5 but I’m not impressed, so I have to chase a FH2 XBOX One disc since I think I will like that better. I might be very late to the party, but I stopped playing games after NFS 3 with the exception of a short stint of TDU on PS2.
The seasoned among us can enjoy it too!
Horizon 2 was my intro to the series, and it remains my favourite. You’ll have a blast.
I should have it by Tuesday or Wednesday!
I love FH2 already. Finally I feel like I’m driving the hypercars, rather than the cars taking me for a ride. It makes me feel like a driving god, and in FH4 any high powered car was undrivable, making me feel like the least skilled gamer ever. Now I feel the joy I used to feel playing NFS3 as a teen!
I find it very interesting to see how different people have such a different experience than me. Dont get me wrong i absolutely love FH2 but tbh FH4 & FH5’s Physics feel much more rewarding to me. Anyhow i hope you still enjoy the game. Just found it interesting.
Actually I stopped playing FH2 by now, too few cars and playing FH2 made me worse at FH3 and FH4. The issue was not the physics, it was the wide roads with few road side objects, which allowed me to drive “loose” in FH2 without getting punished. But you can’t get away with that in FH4, because you will hit a stone wall or fence or something else and lose time/position. I enjoyed my short stint of FH2 though. I finished FH3 and while I really like the Australian map, I think I will mostly return to FH4, since I like the scenery and changing seasons.
I’ve been polishing off the stories in all the Horizons.
Won the finales in 1 and 2, won the final showcase in 3, got superstar status in 4, and got into the hall of fame in 5.
So I’m ready for Forza Horizon 6!
