that’s top 9. Damn at this rate Moss wouldn’t need to bother with my paint after Friday
Don’t worry about that, I’ve spent quite a bit of time on it and I’m hoping to get all the cars delivered by the end of the competition so you all have them before I go away
Here is what I came up with. I just had to recreate the iconic Flying Lizard livery.
I’ll be working on personalizing all the Jeeps today so if anyone already in the top 8 sees me on line, give me a shout to collect your paint. I’m still hoping to deliver 10 LOL.
Ok, well I’m gonna have to give this some runs this weekend. I ran a few time with my camaro that first day. Built a few very frustratingly noncompetitive cars, this PI system sucks!! Tire compound shouldn’t take a car from D to A!! I hate that. Sorry.
Anyway, I gave Moss’ CJ a couple runs the other night. I’ve been fighting it because of stupid reasons. Along with trying to find something nobody thought about, but again, PI!! Lol
I’ve got tons of work to catch up to you guys if it’s even possible. You guys are fast. Kid, you’ve gotten crazy fast! Nice drivin’!
I’m coming for ya Rob, lol! Nice work brother!
Zepp, I’m sure you’ll make that time up. Unfortunately I won’t have the chance to run this again until much later tomorrow due to Le Mans being on.
Looking forward to seeing how far ahead you get
2:44.731 getting near the top ten, but can’t seem to get that little bit extra.
Great times everyone
2:39,965, and there’s still hidden time guys. I recorded it if it helps someone to see how i drove
I’ll edit the post once its uploaded (914MB will take some time lol)
Cheers
…what can I say…INCREDIBLE…I knew there was about a 1/2 sec left on your time per my run, yet, ONE SEC…darn…awesome run GReddy
PRKid
.
almost right at the same moment Greddy just cracked 2:40 I’ve managed 2:41.018 with 22B.
Again I’m still claiming 22B not exactly faster, having tried the CJ5 in a bucket tuned by my friend who’s also my Bone Shaker build’s inventor
Moss I’ve fallen in love with that Porsche paint at 1st sight.
What the hell, 2:41 with the 22B? I need that tune! What an impressive time, keep it up!
Thx Unfortunately it’s 1-off store tune from that Bone Shaker guy who doesn’t want to disclose some of his secrets with his builds
All I can tell at this point is that it’s centrifugal, no front wing, lightest rims (and no transmission glitch, just in case any1’s wondering :P).
You should be able to see the stats…hp/T, Wt, etc… And…build…of course w/o tune!
.
After another incentive rethink, I’m going to give a prize paint to anyone that beats the original #1. So if we fill the top 10 I will give prizes to #11, #12 as well.
Great times everyone and thanks GReddy for the clip of your 39 run. Can’t wait to see that
Took the advice of a few of you and toggled the ghost back on. Moss is my next rival and I chased him (through the meadow) to a new best driving his V2 Jeep. He loses me by the narrow bridge and from there on should be where the most improvement can be made.
2:47.801 for 25th
Can’t tell you how many times I got the Jeep stuck in the ground after a good start. Pretty sure I found the spot to avoid by now.
Congrats to everybodys quick times! Filling up the fastest slots, nice.

I had problems with my v1 setup burying the wheels but I can’t remember it happening once with my v2 setup. I put it down to the use of stock springs rather than off-road race springs.

I’ve been running your v2 and have been stuck more than once so it must be something else causing it, or a combination of things. But anyway, great racing by all, and good call on the paints Moss.
Edit: thinking about it more you maybe right, I’ve tried a couple of builds plus my own so it may have been those that got me stuck, really can’t remember which had off-road vs stock springs.

Through my runs on the CJ5, I had this happen a couple of times as well. With different builds. I think its a H3 glitch. It’s happened to me in other tracks as well. And, I have gone thru same area as a test and did not reoccur when I wanted it too do so. Very odd!

Almost forgot about this part. This CJ5 bug is recognized bug by T10/PG alongside with few other cars(I think all off-road ones can’t remember exactly). Sadly they already said they’re not fixing it as it’d mean breaking the rest of the game.
since my original post is on the previous page, I decided to make a new one:
2:39,965 run: http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/GReddy295/video/32644156
First of all, try not to rev all the way up to the redline, shift 6.5 grant tops, for better acceleration. its just a minor impovement, but hey, i’ll take everything i can get
00:16 just blip the brake once, thats enough. this was actually faster than cutting a second time through the trees to the left
the next few corners are just very smooth driving, no fast actions since they decrease your momentum
00:33 break at the very left to have maximum space for cornering
next follows a smooth section again, full throttle. btw i never use 4th gear on this track.
00:59 the 2 right turns are full throttle turns.
01:04 thhis left corner hangs, so you can get into it very quickly. shift down to 2nd and hit the brake smoothly. early full throttle again. Avoid drifting at corner exit.
again smooth section, full throttle
1:15 right corner is possible full throttle, but i approached it with a wrong angle and had to blip the brake once.
yet again a full throttle section
1:26 i liftet throttle shortly, you can hear it. dont hit the crossing signs
1:35 i startet drifting and lost time, as you can see my old ghost passes by
1:47 break to 2nd, dont use all the tracks width, stay middle to get the next left turn better (where i lost alot of time due to e-brake action lol)
2:03 use trashcans to help breaking. it also helps to know that the next 2 checkpoints have a larger hitbox, atleast it feels like it.
2:15 3rd gear right turn, try using all of its width again, this is were a lot of time may be lost. dont drift!
2:20 try to get even more to the apex as i did, i lost time there. you can go as far out as you want
2:25 for this right turn you dont need a particular angle, you can be on the right on the grass as i did
2:29 again no need to be on the left side on the grass, the upcoming right turn is full throttle possible with smooth steering
hope it helps you guys, most of the times i ended up in the trees @ first corner, stuck in the ground after jumps or i missed checkpoints due to excessive cutting. but sometimes you just hit it right
outstanding racing GReddy.
I managed to get to 40’s with 2:40:625
