Weekly Hot Lap Comps Hosted by HLR - End of Series Quiz - Win 10 Million Credits

I definitely won’t be improving any further so my time stands as it is. (Thanks to Moss and his tune!) Haven’t felt too good the last couple of days so didn’t get many more attempts in at trying to improve.

I think it’s looking like congrats to Precision Blast. What an introduction to the competition! Good racing everyone!

I haven’t been on very much this week either. I did give many of the available rides a try earlier this week. As always, Moss, excellent job with the Merc! Mikey, I couldn’t do much but slide into things with that F100, but man its fast!! Lol My best still stands with my '40 Ford, I think, lol. It was in the top 30 a couple days ago.

As frustrating as things can get sometimes with the PI issues, I can’t thank you enough for hosting these Moss. These give much more longevity to this game for me. And at some point I’d love to grab that Bel Air from a couple weeks ago, if I haven’t missed my oppurtunity. Great driving everybody!! Feel better Mikey. Looking forward to the next one.

I’m calling this over a little early again. End of another good competition and things got shook up by the entry of Precision Blast. We ended the week with 8 places taken in the top 10. Four of whom ran my Mercury Coupe LOL. Despite a valiant attempt by Mikey to run a Ford F100 close to the top, not much could keep up with the old Coupes.

Our winner this week is Precision Blast who ran her Ford Coupe in an amazing time of 2:22.609. Congratulations.

Top 10 places were grabbed by Mikey3 GT, PervasiveFall8, NORCALBAYAREA1, TechyCanine9, HLR Thumby, Wan Ge 1 and myself. Thanks to everyone that took part, the course was a tough one LOL.

Random prize winner this week is NORCALBAYAREA1 (who posted at HLR.club). I hope you enjoy your new rides. I still have some paints to give out Zepp, no-one is ever too late. I have a rapidly filling paintshop of one-off designs  I will keep the comps running as long as there is still interest.

Next week I decided to go back into the sunshine and revert to B class, which seems to have a good range of competitive cars to tune and run. Hope you enjoy it!

Week 11
Yarra Valley Timber Mill Trail
B Class
No restrictions
Comp to end at 11pm GMT on Sunday, 26th February.

The usual prize paints for fastest time and for a competitor chosen at random from those posting.

To qualify for a prize you must post your time in this thread or in a similar thread to be found at HLR.club. Good luck everyone.

Currently 2:48.8 02 in new HLC in Yarra. In self tuned /build of torano. I shared and when I get to laptop later tomorrow I will OS. So I can learn what I’m doing wrong and others can add there views. Though build was sort of HAMILTONHD build modified for a bit of handling. Aero parts and some changed meant slight reduction of HP and maybe I should modify which engine parts TT or CSC. Etc…

I was able to keep up with the z28 in #2 but start loosing to it by not getting some key turns. (Bottom of hill, the bridge in timber mill, those damn logs, and then the whole down hill right left double right before joining Goliath circuit. I should be a 2:47 and think 45s are certainly capable. By me. So some faster guys/ and gals will be even faster. I like this track and class matchup. I imagine z28 will be good choice as well as some of the other falcons, Christine etc. there were no toranos so I went with it. To see how many scoobies I could beat up. Plus no idea who tune to use so might as well start it off in my ok all round muscle.

Great start, I quite like this track too. I gave my Torana a run but suspect it needs a rebuild to add some handling. I switched to a Subaru 22B that I had in my garage and now I’m spoilt for handling LOL. Just outside the top 10 at the moment but I’ve had a 2:48.xxx dirty with it. Time for bed now and more tomorrow.

I hadn’t posted a time on this track yet. 1st run was a 2:58.078 in my XB Falcon from a couple weeks ago. #53 for now. Not too bad for a start, for me anyway lol!!

Fun track. Good luck everybody!!

Due to some special info I’ve heard about this week’s challenge I decided to change my mind and dig in once more.
It does seem like I’ll likely lose this 1 eventually though as I wasn’t a fan of the OP 22B and never practised/fine-tune it, therefore struggling to adapt to its unique handling. Still HLR Moss’s 22B tune does work better than my own setup.
For now managed to reach #2 with my friend’s Torana tune (which he no longer shares due to negative feedback). #1 is definitely within reach for Torana but i have strong feeling that some1 will overtake me with 22B even if i actually reach #1.

Also tried Camaro '79 a bit it’s pretty competitive as well if not the best.

I don’t understand the problem now with the 22B. As I understand it Turn 10 have fixed the glitch that allowed the retention of gearing when downgrading to Stock or Street. My Subaru has a Street gearbox and has a limited top speed. It relies on excellent handling despite it’s stock brakes, stock springs and stock weight reduction to stay with the muscle cars like the Torana. The real problem is that Turn 10 don’t appear to have wiped leaderboard times set before the glitch was fixed.

OH this is the 1st time I’ve heard the real truth about this glitch. I only heard others saying “the glitch” “the glitch” but never knew what exactly’s that.

But does this mean black bull’s transmission is glitched as well? His car revs to 7k like yours but much taller ratios:

No, with a stock gearbox speed is limited to 136.9 mph (220.3 kph) but gives better acceleration. With the Street gearbox like in my car you can hit 146.5 mph (235.7 kph). I guess he is using the stock gearbox in the video. The gear ratios are different.

not trying to argue to death, but he upshifted to 5th at ~21Xkph and it’s even taller than street transmission: (

Also only just heard that there’s a stll-working bug which u can import tune from FH2 to get yourself a glitchy-fast S1 EB110. I guess this might explain some of the crazy S1 top times.

Apologies, I should have studied the video closer. I couldn’t replicate that performance.

2:52.472 - Ford XB Falcon with a Moss tune :+1:

Tried a few different vehicles, first clean run was a 3:04.xxx in a BMW X5 M, very easy to drive but not very fast. Tried an AWD integra, crazy acceleration but very low grip levels and not enough speed in the straights.

Then switched to a Ford F100, Dodge Charger Daytona, both of which got me in the 3:02-2:59 range, but then I tried a new tune, '71 Skyline GTR, which I babied through the corners to a 2:58.545, which put me in 65th.

Last I tried a Ford Falcon XB tune I’ve been working on, and ended the day with a 2:56.877, good enough for 57th. I haven’t tried a 22B or Torana yet but have tunes for both waiting and ready. Just wanted to see how I could do with other options first.

Thought that i give a try something different from those Torana’s and Subaru’s, now @ 2:48.936 with Dodge Challenger, that’s good for 10:th place for now.

Probably will try Torana or Subaru later as they seems to be little bit faster.

Had a Charger Daytona at 2:53.5xx for awhile. I had an 87 Trans Am that I thought could do better, but I couldn’t get a clean time. The best was a 2:51.8xx.

I jumped in my Prowler with SatNiteEduardo’s tune and got a 2:47.768. #8 for now.

I have uploaded a 2nd version of my Prowler tune. Its the same as the 589 just with longer 5th and 6th gears.

Also hopped in SatNiteEduardo’s Prowler tune, 2:46.900 and good for 6:th place, could gain few more tenths but i think I’m pretty much maxed out with Prowler so time to move on to Torana or Subaru.

Great tune SatNite !

Not having much luck with this one. Ran it a zillion times so far but best I could muster so far is 2:56.844 (60th) in a Charger Daytona. I want to get into top 50 so I’ll keep trying.

Haven’t been back at this yet, things have been stressful and it’s been very hard to relax or at least be in the right frame of mind to do any playing. I’m hoping to maybe force myself to take some time to chill and play a bit this weekend. You guys have all been putting up some really good times from what I’m seeing though. Keep it up!!

Thanks again Moss for hosting these, even if I haven’t really done anything this week. You still rock!!
