For some unknown reason, whenever I use rewind during a speed zone, the game sometimes counts the attempt as ‘FAILED’. I don’t know why this is, but the reason I’m posting this was because I had something like that happen to me during a #Forzathon LIVE event.
It was the final round of the event, and we had to work together to get a combined 4,000mph at the Queen’s Drive Speed Zone. During one of my attempts, the Hoonigan RS200 I was using lost control, so I used rewind, but unfortunately the game then counted that attempt as ‘FAILED’.
Now, I don’t know if this is a possible bug or if it’s a feature, but why does it do that sometimes when rewind is used during a Speed Zone?
It’s a feature, you’re not supposed to rewind an unlimited amount of times in the middle of a speed zone, particularly after you’ve already failed it.
You can, however, go all the way back to just before you entered it, and start over how many times you need, which is still convenient for the purposes of #Forzathon LIVE.
Normally you can leave the road a small amount without failing, but I’ve noticed if it registers having left the road even a tiny bit, a rewind will fail you. but if you stay on the road perfectly, you can rewind without failing.
It isn’t a “bug”. Using rewind during a run is basically cheating so you get a fail. I get a fail if I try using rewind on all speed zones and drift zones. It’s always been that way and I understand why. It isn’t like using rewind in a race where you’re penalized in your payout. That’s why it’s an option in regular races but not in zones.
It has been my experience that rewind does work (most of the time) as long as you only rewind one ‘zone’. If you rewind, then immediately rewind again (ie, rewind 2 zones) that always gives me a Failure.
