Update 19.0 Overview - Porsche Month | May 7 & 21 reward deadlines

There is something messed up with that Porsche 911 GT3 R in the rivals event it says it’s a 2024 car, but in the garage and showroom it’s a 2023 car.

Rivals First Picture it shows 2023

If I open that it’s '24 then.

Showroom it’s 2023

And in the garage it’s 2023 too

They have to replace the '24 with a '23 in the rivals screen then all is fine.

I just finished a sunny race at Road America in a B-600 1980 924 on hard race tires without pitting and had about 49% wear on my most worn tire at the end of the race (just before hitting the 50% “minor tire wear” warning).
So, B-class race tire builds for no-stop races (on hards) seem viable in this historic Porsche multi-class series (at least, for some cars).

Haven’t tried a slicks build but the sport tyres on the 924 were very grippy.

Did you notice your top speed?

I think I hit at least 138 MPH (max downforce F&R) at Road America without even reaching the end of 6th gear before needing to slow for a turn.
Best lap was 2:28.5.

Now the hopper changed:

No more B Class then? Or are the events on rotation?

I’m probably in the minority but I enjoy the lower classes more.

It’s rotating, so will go back to having lower classes probably tomorrow.

The new Turbo S is eligible but it’s nothing special.
Typical slower than natural RWD pace.
Requires the 718 Cayman swap to make the most useful S build.
Sports aero, RWD, sports tires did mid 2:24s at Spa. At least 2 seconds off the Carrera GT or '07 GT3.

I just finished the open class tour but i didn’t get the reward car, the porsche 911 turbo and its marked as complete but i dont have the car in my garage im so sad, tried to restart the last R class event to see if there’s any luck also reboot the game but still no 911 turbo. What can i do

I got the car directly after I won it how it should be, I guess I am one of the lucky ppl.

Multi-class challenges are boredom challenges. Playing with the AI or playing multiclass, I don’t know which is worse.

Try a street tyre build. I swopped the sports on mine to streets and just ran 2.26.1 at RA. Still got tons of grip.

Good to know. Thanks. :+1:
I found out the hard way last night that hards do not last at Maple Valley.
I had a very rough last couple of laps approaching severe wear.

I got spanked by a couple of '93 968’s at Bathurst. They looked like they were difficult to control (judging by how squirrelly they were through every turn), but they had enough top-end to pull good gaps on the straights. I think they were on street tires.

Yea streets are good on power/accel tracks.

Streets with race weight reduction beats sports with sport weight reduction.

This is a pretty competitive R class car. I had 41 pace and not much will beat that:

Which year is more correct?

  1. lmao

  2. sadly, this car is not competitive

Used one of the ESV numbers with some unusual numbers (100% decel, midrange aero, pretty high anti-squat) and it drove perfectly fine, but it was slow on the straights and the rear end is typical Porsche fare. All of that additional inertia means that if the rear steps out, it takes longer to correct, so you get punished more on recovery

You mean reflection where they shouldn’t be???

Ya, are the “23” and “24” cars one in the same?

Yes they obviously made a typo.
