Does Forza Motorsport support UDP telemetry output?
Yes
I use DSX and Forza DSX to send haptic feedback to the triggers of my PS5 controller on Horizon 5 (WAY better than the rumble triggers of the Xbox controller, sadly). This obviously requires UDP data to work, as do many other virtual dashboards - and none of them recognise Motorsport as a running game so none of it works.
Sad day.
BUT I found a solution, and hopefully it might help - I ran Horizon 5 and ALSO ran motorsport so all the UDP programs fired up and started working, then closed Horizon and it’s still working on Motorsport, so I have full force feedback triggers on my PS5 pad.
This method may also work for SIMDashboard etc. but I don’t use them so I can’t test it - it’s only a mater of time until they’re patched to work with the new game but in case you want to use it now, it’s worth a shot!
SimHub already got a new version with FM(8) in the list. But the changelog headline tells that there are no additional outputs.
Hello,
I just started the game and activated the UDP telemetry out feature and I saw that the packets sended have a length of 331 bytes in “car dash” format (instead of the 321 of FM7). “Sled” format still has 232 bytes as before.
What are the 20 added bytes format?
Can we have a specification on this please?
Thanks
