In my opinion, The car tuning must influence the performance rating and the stats on a car. For example, when I AWD swap a koenigsegg jesko, the speed stat changes from 10 to 7.9 which is just absurd because the top speed changes only by about 10kmph
this is definately something to look at but I think it can only be applied to future games; its quite a fundimental mechanic and im not sure how well it could be implimented.
By doing this though, we would avoid cases like the Raesr Tachyon going from X class to A class by giving it the drift transmission, shortening its ratios so its top speed is only about 100mph compared to its usual 250mph+, but then you can tune it to get that top speed back while staying in A class.
I think the current PI system works by calculating how fast an AI driver could take that car around the track, so yea if tuning changes how fast it can go, why doesnt it change PI?
With no Fine Tuning, that is. The game doesn’t factor Tuning into that, and it’s been the case since the first Forza Motorsport on the original Xbox. It’s even like that in the new FM…
