I am an “older” person an am confused on how to navigate the tuning selections with my stock Xbox Series x controller. I can manage the tune settings once I get to them, but I can only get to tire pressure and cannot go anywhere else. Please help I have scoured docs to no avail.

Hi PaulCr125,
You should be able to tab over to the Gearing / Alignment / etc menus with your controller bumpers.
You may find these are locked to changes though. To enable adjustments you’ll need to go to Upgrades and choose a Race level Suspension or front/rear Aero for instance, and then go back to Tuning to change the settings.
The front of your controller should move the menu along. If it doesn’t you may have a broken controller.
Hit me up and I will help you. I am not sure exactly what the issue is but I tune often and I am sure that I can provide you with some tips. You are looking for shared tunes from others? Or are you trying to tune?
You can also reach out to me via a direct message on XBOX, Discord and so on. Looking forward to hearing from you and getting this resolved for you.
Thanks for the speedy reply… I select a car that I know can tune (stock). Then I go to “Tune Car”. It defaults to Tires, I can change the air pressure, but that’s it. I cannot go to any another setting , except the back button (B). Entire setup is 2 months old and everything else works fine . It’s not a show stopper, I can download tunes, but I want to play with it myself.
As Max mentioned above, you need to go into the “Custom Upgrades” menu to upgrade the items you’re interested in tuning. For each selection, gearbox, suspension, etc, you will see levels which state “Unlocks tuning….”. After you select & install these, you will be able to re-enter the custom tuning tool & adjust as you like for those items you’ve installed. How this helps.
Hopefully last question, where is the “Custom Upgrade” menu ? I’m computer savvy but am a gamer novice at 68 years old.
No worries: on the main screen when in your home festival location, there will be two menus icons on the left, one is for upgrades & tuning, one is for designs & paints; select the upgrades & tuning & you will see a large icon in the center that says “Custom Upgrades”.
I think I’m there… A bit confusing to get there but thanks for the help. In my next life maybe I can help you!!
