I would like to see something like a group learning experience.
We could pick a car, class and track and then tune for that. Everyone would post their tune in full so everyone could see it so we learn from each other and tweak others tunes that we like but aren’t quite right for personal style.
I almost never download others tunes anymore because there is almost always one little thing I would like to change but am unable since they are all locked. Posting open tunes here would help us all learn from each other.
That would be cool. I would almost say you could start up a thread just for that. I started up a Drag Racing Builds/Projects thread for that very reason.
Something where people could post up what they’re building, working on. A few of us worked through a few cars. I thought it was pretty cool, seemed helpful.
I dont know if an open source comp would really end up being a comp, ya know? Maybe comp 1st, then open source? Or 2 separate threads? I don’t know, just spit balling.

Oh now Moss, you know I can’t drive, lol. I think this is OP’S gig. Hasn’t been much reply since that 1st day. But I am definitely down for some sorta comp. It’s been too long!! FM6 or FH3, doesn’t matter to me.

I think I’d be down. I didn’t participate but read a thread in FH2 with something like this. Does it work like … tunes for a car are submitted, then somebody (you?) drives each tune somewhere a few times and records the best lap, and whichever tune you are fastest with wins?

Yes, that’s how it works. Bee will push each car to it’s limits

There may be threads up on other tuning comps from the other Forza games not sure. Wanted to see numbers as prior to the HLR HL Challenge comp it was a little on the quiet side. The format is undecided as I wanted to see numbers so I could then decide if peeps would tune one car and that was it, tune multiple or do a knock out system. At the mo looks like only 6 peeps are up for it.

I should be able to pull in another guy at least, xDeaDxCriMinaLx. I cool with anything. Like you, I’ve been thinking it’s been too quiet. I’m not fast enough to host any normal tuning comps, love to try to come up with a good car for them though!! I’ll host drag tuning comps every now and again, but thats a whole different animal.
I’d be up for getting involved, should be good fun.
I’m down but I’ll need help with spring pressure and dampening. I’m beast at alignment, tire pressure, gearing and differentials. I’m ok with rollbars and ride highs but spring pressure is a hit or miss for me. I don’t know how to get the springs to match up with my roll bars and alignment to get a perfectly stable, smooth ride.
