When I exited the pit at Road Atlanta, it immediately let me back to the track instead of using the line all the way

I was just looking to see if anyone else was having this issue.
Was rather frustrating getting thrown out of the pit lane into traffic and getting a pen for it 
(Just for clarification, the game was still in control of the car when it crossed over the line back onto the track).
