Toyota Supra RZ - Inaccurate and Outdated Car Model

It is not funny when you realize the disparity and difference in the the MK4 Supra’s car model’s quality and accuracy between FORZA, the Crew Motorfest and GT7

Their car model are significantly more accurate, detailed and higher in quality inside and out.

Erroneous details include the front and rear end, general proportions and size of the vehicle. A lot of these inaccurate & outdated car models like this also have terrible interiors in game.

This has been repurposed time and again since the first FORZA Motorsport. It is way past its expiration date and needs to be fully laser scanned and remodeled. Thank you.

Incorrect.

It was remodeled in around 2019 for FH4

They’re going to remodel 9 cars for future games. Hopefully this will be one of the next they’ll do.

Then the model’s proportions and details are undoubtedly extremely poor, inaccurate and already outdated in every way compared to the competitors, just take a look at the front and rear end alone.

It was not.

It was.

Wow, different paint shaders truly made it spot on accurate!
Anyway, the front bumper is still placed too high, same with the headlights, the bonnet is basically flat and somehow not high enough, plastic parts on the wheelarches are still more visible than they should be, the roof is still too tall, the rear end is still too massive, the rear lights are still too small compared to the rest, the rear bumper is still too big, and all body kits have the exact same shape.
Really, if you said that the A80 was remodeled for Motorsport 5 you’d be basically right, as after its RHD conversion in Motorsport 2 it sat with now incorrect USDM side markers up until FM5, where they were changed.

Unless they somehow “reverted” to the FM5-FH3 model in FH5, yet managed to apply the FH2 F&F Supra and FM4 Blitz bumpers, the model can’t be accurate in the newest games either, because it just isn’t.
This comparison GIF is definitely one of my worse ones because I used an ever so slightly skewed image from a scanned brochure, and struggled to line up the image in Forza. But what I can tell you is that the same inaccuracies I’ve mentioned above can be found in “all”, FM1-FH1, FM5-FH3 and FH4-FM models. They’re just not accurate, and so this issue can be described as persisting since Motorsport 1, because it was never resolved!

No, it isn’t, obviously. Difference of these images are the lighting & shaders. Let’s be real here.

Okay, the thing that’s noticeable in the Supra RZ is the rear wiper being positioned to the LHD side. For an RHD/JDM spec, the placement is considered wrong. But the wiper placed on the left side of the hatch is correct for LHD Supra models only. That persisted since the older Forza titles.

So, the rear wiper is placed on the right of the hatch for RHD models.

Now, if I want to compare it in the Gran Turismo games, I saw that GT PS3 games reused the PS2 model of the Supra. Looks a bit off, doesn’t it?

And when it returns to GT Sport, the Supra gets a full remodel, with 100% accuracy, with the same accurate Supra model being carried over to GT7. Gran Turismo had a lot of potential in car modeling.

Let’s compare with GT7 vs FM on the Mk4 Supra:

GMP_U2F2ZUdNQVgwMQ==

I see what’s wrong with the Forza model of the Supra:

  • Front bumper grilles are too small
  • Front fenders are misshaped
  • Taillights are too small
  • Rear wiper positioned to the LHD side as the car itself is RHD, as I mentioned above
  • Rear marker lights placed too high
  • 3rd brake light is too big
  • Supra logo on rear hatch is misaligned

So it’s clear to know that the Mk4 Supra RZ isn’t remodeled. Not only that, but they also didn’t remodel every inaccurate Toyota model when returning in FH4 like the AE86 and MR2 GT. But one thing you’re correct, is how its model got slightly changed in FM5 like the marker lights on the bumpers. It got changed to the JDM ones, whereas FM1-FH1 uses the USDM marker lights. But sadly, the same model shape since FM1 still exists till now in the new FM.

You may be wrong, or just being sarcastic is all. Hope you get the whole information on a car model like this.

That’s all for today, class dismissed.

Oh my God, that rear end is actually tragic!

Even that Supra badge on the rear hatch is misaligned! :grimacing:

The 3rd brake light is too big, and the side markers are placed too high, it’s all completely inaccurate…

So does the taillights being too small.

Don’t think i’ll trust your opinion on this in the future if you can’t see the remodel by just switching between the images.

The front seems to be placed ever so slightly differently, but this does not fix any of the issues. That’s why the issue can be described as persisting since Motorsport 1.

I booted up FH2 alongside FH5 and quickly tried to line up both games, which clearly didn’t work because the two aren’t exactly matching. However, what I can tell you is that the remodel you’re talking about was most likely an effect of changing the zoom in the thumbnail. On both pictures you can see the highest LOD model each game has to offer, and even the low LOD model which you can access in FH5 by simply focusing on a different vehicle than your own does not change shape. Had there been a remodel, it most likely would’ve looked slightly different, that’s how it works on the RX-7 FD and the Impreza GC8. Either way, the Mk4 Supra is still extremely inaccurate and the issue of it having an inaccurate model that was present in Motorsport 1 has persisted since.
