Toyota MR2 GT ‘95 - Inaccurate Car Model (1795084)

It’s moments like these when you realize how much patience true FORZA fans really have when putting up with these issues

Another famous JDM sports car affected by the car model plague in FORZA, the 1995 Toyota MR2 is just wrong and outdated in every way from proportions to details.

You can find a linked post highlighting everything wrong with this particular vehicle shared between FH5 AND FM 2023.

I wish the vehicle and development team paid close attention to all car models’s that were added pre - FM5 at least!

Like many others, this one has no engine bay. I’m surprised that you’ve discovered more outdated models, but let’s not push Turn 10 too hard, alright? They can only recapture so much at a time.

6 years of development. Well more than a decade of experience. If anything, we didn’t push them enough. They still have time before any future titles, so they can just do what they have previously done, and that is - outsource the work. T10 and MS have the money for that

Pardon. And if they do have the money, then they should take this in seriously so they can truly redo everything from the ground up. With Pixel Mafia, they can scan multiple cars simultaneously, so we can be happy about that.

Here is the same car as it appears in the first Forza Motorsport

I can confirm suspicions on the MR2 GT’s model in Forza games. The entire car model persisted since FM2, but in reality, it’s FM1 as the model looks the same as it got changed from USDM to JDM spec.

  • The front end is too tragic. Bumper grille, Fog lights, Indicator lights, and Toyota logo which is a bit misplaced, are too big.
  • Headlights are too small, causing a missed gap once headlights are up.
  • Rear looks too low, from the rear window to the rear hood. C-pillar is sloped too down.
  • Roof is a bit too long.
  • Wheels are inaccurately spaced as they are supposed to be narrowed. (persists since FM5)

Overall, its model is so out of date, and it looks narrowed compared to the real car’s dimensions. Even includes the fact that Toyota’s return to FH4 after the brand’s production car absence from FM7, still recycles the outdated model, and FH5 does the same in Series 17. This is very disgraceful. As a result, the same outdated model is reused all over again in the new FM.

Here’s GT7’s MR2 model for the most accurate example. Difference is - it’s the 1997 GT-S.

I would like to add up the fact that Gran Turismo had a PS2 model of the exact MR2 GT-S, and it looks way better than Forza’s model. So in GT Sport, it got a full major remodel for today’s standards.

10 months later, and Turn 10 still isn’t learning from their mistakes. What can go wrong for them? I guess they don’t deserve excuses and sympathy for the “Built from the ground up” lie, as well as winning the Racing GOTY award, which is completely beyond me. They’re still doing dirty tactics as of Update 10, and you noticed that the Reventon sounds like an Aventador and the Subaru Impreza 2005 still retained its inaccurate model, right? I knew it.

I will never forgive Turn 10 until they make a proper apology to the community by Truthfully building their game from the ground up.

Yes, even those models are seriously outdated. Even the Reventon sounds completely wrong and is also full of understeer!

But this car has been bug-logged, so we should pray for something good to happen.
