They’re pretty much the same. if you save it, you still have to install it later to use it.
Then it’s there forever even if you delete it later.
Tried deleting tunes but then after a search on the car with my own gamertag, they’re still up there in the ether wasting spaces.
Ridiculous system.
Download and Save is the worst option of all. It uses up a file slot but your car isn‘t equipped with it.
The game lacks a third option ‚install only, dont‘t save‘ which is what you‘re looking fir.
What I am wondering is, if my (few) shared tunings continue to exist (in ether or whatever), why does the game warn me about losing income when deleting it?
It is understandable that tunings installed elsewhere stay with that car, but why would that tuning alledgedly still be available for others? There were some bad tunes from my beginning I certainly do not wish to exist anymore…
The limit is for tunes that are part of your game save file. Whether you have chosen either option it saves a local copy. The easiest way to my knowledge is to go through your cars that you have applied downloaded tunes. If there are any cars that you remember trying different tunes before settling on the best one, I would start with these.
When you get in the car, go to the My Tunes section and delete the copies you don’t need. The cars will retain the tune. If by chance you need to reapply the tune in the future it will have to be downloaded again. You can favorite the tune if it’s a concern, or keep the ones you know you like.
