Hi,
Here is the situation, in the S Class rivals, 1st position on Watkins Glen full track is a '97 Porsche GT1 with 787 PI. When I watched the replay, I’ve seen that it is maxing out at 480KW with I don’t remember how much torque. Also it clearly has the upgraded wing and front bumper.
So, I bought the car, grinded it and started playing with different parts(and motors) to get to that PI with that power. And I actually matched those exactly. Also I matched the tire pressures(and even hoping to match the camber settings)
Here is the question: the replay of the champion takes the 2nd and 3rd turns at 240km/h and ends the straight at 285km/h at 5th gear(in a 6 gear car). And my car ends the straight at 260km/h at 6th gear.
I’ve played with tunings and everything(lowest aero, highest aero, set the gear ratios to speed, set to acceleration) but couldn’t reach that speed and especially on that gear.
So am I missing something in tuning? Or are there cheats even with saved replays?
Most likley they are getting a better exit out of turn 1. Try not to scrub speed going up the hill.
Less gears are mostly always faster, longer gear ratios keep it in the tourqe band.
Crank up the ARB’s to add stabillity through the high speed stuff.
less Downforce will help the car rotate more, high down force will keep a tighter line.
Don’t Lift.
Edit.
Just looked at the time in question. 4 seconds clear of 2nd best time.
watching the replay it almost looks like its in fast forward. Quite the lap.
Thanks for the reply.
For me, after turn 1, I’m all flat out… But whatever I do, I cannot reach 285km/h in 5th gear. Is there any advice on gear ratios to completely make gear 6 obsolete but still get a acceleration better than a build which uses gear 6?
Edit: I’m planning to test speed vs gears of the build on LeMans straight and report here
If we had a Dyno graft like every other forza, you could see where the torque is and set it from that,
Try FD between 3.10 and 3.50
long first gear~ 125kph
set 2nd and 3rd close as thats where you want the power for mid speed turns
Spread 4th and 5th out to top speed.
watch telemtary for when the torque drops off as you might find short shifting is sometimes faster.
