Takes far too long to load into the main menu! (More than a minute)

Since the 1903 patch there’s been a massive loading delay at the main start screen. Is there any information on a fix for this anytime soon?

This is already in the FAQ on the support site under known issues as “Initial load times from the title screen may be slightly longer than expected.”

However no further info hence this post.

I had the same issue and this solved it for me.

I didn’t remove the VIP pass as I was afraid it would break my double credits and it still works.

i just downloaded Forza on my pc , after watching a few videos online id reckon i could run it at at least 30fps. however, when i boot into the game it takes a minute for me to even hover over the options button. does anyone know why this is happening?

Design fault.

I don’t quite understand what you’re asking, you talk about framerates but also loading times?

Your GFX card could do with updating, your CPU is old and slow and only dual core, you don’t have enough RAM. I imagine you other specs are similarly low.
You have to meet ALL the minimum specs for a game to even run.

Hello !

Windows 10 (1903) had a long loading screen with McLaren Senna (Loading…Please wait). I returned to 1809, because it works fine and faster.

Now available 1909 update. Who knows how it works on 1909, still have a long loading or not ?

Not sure about 1909 but I am on 1903 with no long loading screen, when I updated to it a few weeks ago it didn’t make anything worse. I guess you may just have to try it and hope for the best.

here on my simple pc, average 4 minutes to load the game

Does anyone have trouble with trying to initially open Horizon 4 on Xbox One X and keep getting the error message saying that the game is taking too long to start?

The same thing has been happening to me for months, and a lot of the time, it does this at least 4 or 5 times, if not more, before it actually works.

Is there a way to stop this from happening 24/7? I say that because in my eyes every series such-and-such update has never fixed this issue for me.

Yes, sadly this has become a real issue (hassle) on my Xbox One X lately. I sometimes even have to “hard restart” my console to get FH4 to launch (such as today).
I don’t recall this being an issue in the past with FH4.
I’m not seeing this with any other Xbox game on this console (even “large” games such as AC Odyssey), so I’m puzzled as to what the root cause is.

Yep been dealing with that myself…the trick I use is to start FM7…once the little circle thing at the bottom shows up…start up FH4. Thats been working for me.

I also suffer from the slow loading of the title menu. It literally takes the full length of the intro video to finally get the menu to finally pop up. Then again, I also suffer from the missing player housing bug, which still isn’t fixed either!

Gigabyte X470 Aorus Gaming 7 Wifi
Ryzen 7 2700X cooled with an Arctic Cooling Freezer 360
32GB (4X8GB) G.Skill 3600C15
2 X PowerColor Red Dragon Vega 56’s
1TB NVMe Samsung 970 EVO (game is installed on this)
6TB Seagate SATA 3 drive, 2 X 4TB Seagate SATA 3 drives
SilverStone ST12000 Gold

Games like Gears 5, FarCry 5, WatchDogs 2, and so on all run flawlessly.

I bought a 6TB Seagate Expansion HDD. It’s such a beast, it even has its own power source. The game’s been loading faster than with my old 2TB Seagate Game Hub.

I may consider that as I don’t want to wait minutes for the loading of the splash screen then the loading of getting into my game then the loading of the game.

Installed the latest update tonight (on PC) and can’t get past the “Loading…Please wait” message. Music keeps playing, the circle thingy keeps spinning, but the video of the Senna freezes. Never been a problem before.
