Specs:

  • Engine: 289 cubic inch V8 w/Jet-Stream supercharger
  • Horsepower: 275 @ 4800 rpm
  • Torque: 333 lb-ft @ 3200 rpm
  • Transmission: Choice of either a 3-speed “Flight-O-Matic” automatic or a 4-speed manual w/overdrive
  • Drivetrain: RWD
  • 0-60: Under 8 seconds (specifically, in the low- to high-7’s)
  • Top speed: Estimated to be a little over 125 mph
  • Note: Most ‘57 Golden Hawks were equipped with the Flight-O-Matic transmission, while the overdrive manual was less common
