I was using a wheel last year and preferred the Alumi Craft Class 10 for it. This is a video, which I guess people didn’t like, as it has no thumbs up and one thumbs down…
Still using a wheel ( with slightly different settings ) and remembered your tune well, used it again in the Easter Buggy Trial and we won 2:1 in my first attempt, so I won’t have to do it again :).
Definitely recommended for wheel drivers.
I seriously hate Buggy Trials. The AI have super powers that make them close to unbeatable even though they screw up. Couple that with team mates who cannot for the life of it drive a buggy and you will not, i repeat WILL NOT complete the trial. I was lucky (as i suspect others who have completed it were) that on attempt #3 all bar 1 team mate dropped out in the 2nd (we won the 1st), as i was leading we won that as well and the 3rd race was a 2nd place. If there was a full team we would not have won. I raced the Baja but the tune i have on it must of been from someone who had their tunes wiped for some reason or other as it is not in my tunes list but it is another persons tune (which is very good for these races so it’s a shame i can’t share the tunes name). For those who haven’t raced yet i suggest the Baja with probably El Barto’s tune as El Barto can (and does) create some very nice tunes.
I did the wood Friday championship, just because I happened to know that I had a fairly decent tune on the Morris Traveler, and it would be a breeze.
709 157 126 if anyone wants to try it.
I’d have a fairly decent tune for the Ford Wagon too, but they still haven’t fixed the import feature, so I can’t bring it over from Horizon 3.
The Princess St. speed trap is giving me some trouble. I know I’ve done this at least twice before, but don’t remember what car I used. I’ll see if I can come back to it on the weekend.
I’ve done some of the events already but got stuck on the Megane one as it just hits a perpetual loading screen. No buttons exit out, had to shut down the Xbox a few times. So maybe tomorrow.
But word of the day: El Barto’s Class 5 Buggy.
I don’t have the tune number offhand but it is one he created over a year ago. I think this now marks my 1 year anniversary on this forum because I needed his tune to get through this event last year. It is not the fastest, I had faster tunes, but it is the most driveable and easiest to handle through obstacles and aggressive AI. Finished 2-1-1. Didn’t take the lead until halfway through the race or even later but it runs well, responds well, and just sets up well. Last year I used it to help a number of people through the Trial, I extend that offer again. Give me a holler here or online and we’ll set it up.
I am happy to also say my driving has definitely improved. Last year was also a Koenigsegg event for the bunny ears. I did not earn them. Couldn’t do it, not even on Highly Skilled This year, I got it on Unbeatable. Had a CCX ready to go from some other event. Had to restart the second race three times though. Would get crashed out of a turn by some AI behind me, or get tangled in a wreck caused by a lead AI. Still only finished 3rd in that race, but won overall on points, so good enough. Very frustrating especially in the wet and with so many places where you can lift.
Next challenge is to see what cars I can get through Prince St.
I’m pretty sure that’s not the car I used before, because I haven’t unlocked it yet. Nor can I use it, because I’ve still got a bunch of star cards to grind to unlock it.
El Barto thanks for the Tunes you suggested for this Season. Especially the Princes Street Speed Trap using the AM PO car! Got it first attempt with that one after ages peaking at 228.5 mph with other cars!
For me it was… select that car ( I know it’s a good CC one) … choose the 1st tune I find … win 1st, 1st, 1st (weirdly enough we actually won the event).
I’m not a grandmaster :))
If not, the GTR PO will also do it. I just randomly used a tune by BH ironic. Start at the roundabout to the left of the city and a clean run from there should get it done.
This is how to do this: Take the Ford-wagon and swap to a 6.2L and AWD. Then add the surfboard to get the PI down.
Max widt on rear tires, add softest swaybars, street flywheel and race diff. Gave it a set of Moon-wheels to match
the surfboard. Now you`ve got a winner, no Morris can touch this.
Can be raced as is or you can adjust the diff a bit; ca 55% on front & rear diffs, 75% power to rearwheels.
oops forgot; include an adjustable race-gearbox too, set it to:
4.10 - 2.78/1.96/1.49/1.19/1.01/0.88 Have fun!
Update: improved accelration:
4.00 - 2.89/1.93/1.45/1.15/1.00/0.88 = from 12.31 to 12.27 on the dragstrip
I might try that one. But I know I’ve done it before, and probably still have the tune on whatever car I used. So I’m working my way though those first.
I know that feeling. I found an old tune for an amg gtr that I used in the past. I found the 13 Vantage and Ferrari F12 pretty easy this time, both available from the autoshow.
13 AM Vantage - princes 3 star - 178 022 473
F12 - princes 3 star - 144 540 126
Amg gtr - princes 3 star - 695 124 730
Mb Sls amg - princes 3 star - 172 213 020
Hi, just now managed with the Vantage. Not sure if it will be regarded as unsporting, but this was achieved during an hourly Forzathon (so no traffic except for the trams),
F12 Berlinetta. Took 2 or 3 dozen or so passes, but I got it.
I have no idea what tune I used. I have 3 downloaded tunes that are all pretty much the same, and I suppose only the tuning window would be different. And no idea which one was on the car. I was able to reverse engineer to find what parts were used, and they pretty much did max upgrades and weight reduction of everything except the rear wing and roll cage. Should come to S2 970.
