I originally intended this to be a league for my mustang forum, but I’m needing some additional drivers. Listed below is the layout of the league. If you would like to be a part of our league, post with your Gamertag and preferred car number. I’ll do my best to list transfer the comments and suggestions back and forth between this forum and the mustang forum. So far I have 4 total drivers locked in with 2 more in the wings that I’m waiting on definitive answers from.
Idea - As a league we all run the same car with the same modifications. The only difference between the cars will be tuning and driver skill.
Car - I’ve been doing some thinking on the car and I think the Ford GT will be a good car. I’ll upgrade them to somewhere between A and S class so that it’ll be clear no one is running unapproved modifications. That car has the ability to be tuned for straight line speed, handling or anywhere in between based on the aero settings. It’s controllable but can also get sideways when pushed to hard. Should be a good test of skill while also remaining entry level friendly.
Paint Schemes - A special paint scheme is not required, but is encouraged. However a number on the doors and on the rear bumper is required. When you sign up for the league, please list what car number you’d like to have along with the your Gamertag.
Schedule - One night per week (open to ideas on day/time)
Format - As a group we would all enter a private room that I will host. Everyone will need to have a headset and be in the game chat. That way, we can be spotters for each other to cut down on accidents. If you’re going to make a move on someone, a simple “Slik, I’m low” should be enough to let the other person know you’re there and to give room. I would like to see as much door to door, bumper to bumper, passing back and forth as possible.
Race Rules - Simulation damage. Assists are up to the individual driver. Collisions always on (no ghosting). Anyone intentionally wrecking others will be kicked from the league. A little bumping and banging is be expected, especially in this kind of format. However not braking before a turn and slamming someone, intentionally PIT maneuvering someone, etc is prohibited.
Race Day - 1 practice session of roughly 10-15 minutes. Qualifying session of 5 minutes or minimum to make 2 at speed laps. Race itself will be split into two segments. One segment of 10 laps and a second segment of 15 laps. Total race will be 27 laps. After 10 laps the field will slow and recollect. One full pace lap (think caution speed) to allow anyone that wants to pit an opportunity to do so either for tires, fuel or to repair damage. You forfeit your current position to pit. Once everyone has pitted the field will regroup before the finish line straight for a rolling start that will begin with the leader doing a 3-2-1-GO countdown timed for when he is close to finish line.
Points - I will make a google doc spreadsheet that I’ll invite everyone too. Last place will get 1 point, next to last 2 points, so forth until the winner. The race winner will get 3 bonus points for the win on top of the standard points.
