Song Suggestion - Jump - Girls Aloud

Station: Horizon Pulse

This was the Girls’ 4th ever single, featuring originally on their 2nd studio album from 2005 “What Will The Neighbours Say?” in the track listing before being featured in the 20th anniversary re-release of their debut album “Sound Of The Underground” in 2023, this released back in November 2003 and is the cover of the famous 80s song “Jump” by the Pointer Sisters

It featured in the soundtrack for the 2003 film “Love Actually” although the original Pointer Sisters was used in the actual film

It had a Peak of No.2 on the UK Singles Chart

It was the song credited by them that saved them from being dropped by their label

The music video features the Girls sneaking around what is supposed to be 10 Downing Street as Hugh Grant is the Prime Minister in the film and it features clips from the film in the main video along with other versions of the video not featuring the film clips

This version of the song suits FH6 so well as the overall 2000s beat it has to it definitely gets the adrenaline going and it gives the sensation of fast throughout

Controversially, I actually believe this version is way better than the original Pointer Sisters version in a big way, the original is severely 80s and is quite outdated by modern standards, the Girls’ version brings this song massively up-to-date and still holds strength almost 23 years on

I believe it makes a good soundtrack song for FH6
