Its pretty ridiculous that by using the Horizon Edition cars online with bonus XP give you pretty much double the xp per event so unless the other people are using the same HE car you just cant get more XP then them. Is this an oversight? not long now will every online lobby be full of people using a BRZ HE and getting massive XP
sigh you’re not understanding you can beat them in every event and still have less xp then them at the end because they essentially get double xp every event just for using the Horizon edition car
HE Boosts just increases how much points you get for a certain skill, but only by just a bit. Say for example in a normal car, drift is 100, great drift is 200, and so in. In an HE Car, drift is 12p, great drift is 240, etc. This applies to all skills.
HE Drifts 2x (or name those other skills) will just give 2x points for that certain skill only. It’s really only helpful if the driver can use that skill multiple times… and if he/she can bank it.
again though i dont think you guys get it from a xp championship stand point. If me and my buddy complete a race and im in a BRZ HE hell get say 9,000 XP for the race and ill get like 16,000 xp even if he beats me. it just doesnt make sense but dont worry youll all see what im talking about when the only cars you see online are HE cars that have XP boost
Sure, you’ll beat him in a race and it’ll make your stats look good. He’ll beat you in the XP championship and he’ll earn a bit more credits just for showing off to everyone.
I guess you can say skilling will help you earn some extra cash?
No, I do understand. It’s hard, but they are beatable.
I’ve also seen plenty of HE Drift Skills cars turn around and do the circuit races in reverse (so they ghost) and just drift around and get massive skill bonuses that turn into XP bonuses.
But yes, it’s like FH2 with the XP boards. It’s slightly annoying that they get an obvious advantage. It’s even worse if they’re good and they win races. Then they’re truly unbeatable. I don’t mind it too much because I have three different HE XP cars right now, but I will get bored driving the same cars over and over and over and over.
You must realize that there are really two championships going on.
The race itself; you can actually just drive as fast as you can to the finish
And the xp championship; it just keeps track of how much xp everyone gets in the end and a credits reward for being stylish.
Honestly, I see nothing wrong or annoying about skilling online. It’s just a way to be more open towards players who like to win through speed and others who want to show their stuff and earn extra credits along the way.
I drift, and I drift fast in certain cars. Watch out for me ;D
Hmmm… I think only the multipler is doubled like 1.2x, then 1.4x. I have beaten many with HE cars using my non-HE, and came top.
Another annoying thing is, if you get XP smash boards of 5000XP or 20,000XP on the way to race starts, that just kills everyone else lol, and you become on top. I have did that few times
On the other hand, Horizon Edition cars are equally accessible to everyone. Hope for a good Wheelspin, or fetch one from the AH if it bothers you that much?
I was racing earlier today and despite completely thrashing the lobby to the point of drifting near the end and yet was losing due to 2 camaro HEs that were completely in a league of thier own in term of XP points all done via drifting in last place and DNF constantly to the point here the majority of the lobby insisted on drifting. It really bothers me that there no dedicated race lobbies as there isnt much incentive to racing fast
Why do you care how much experience they are getting? None of the numbers matter anyway. Levels are nothing more than a number it’s not like a higher level gets any advantage over a lower level player. And if it bothers you so much just get one yourself. To me winning the race cleanly is far more rewarding than a random number of experience. Rather use the plus credits boost and get more moneyou across the board.
^ Its because it will affect the overall XP standing which obviously is better to win. FH2 had the same problem where you could easily drift your way to victory, imo podium finishes should yeild alot more xp, perhaps then people will actually make an effort to race.
It’s a matter of 3 point factors. Fast, clean and style.
You might be fast and clean but without style you’re going to get beat.
You have to have the right balance. I personally always get the podium.
Start with 100% clean race including the clean start bonus then work in some style as you pass slower racers. I finish races somewhere in the middle to the end of the pack.
You know this is a 6month old issue that was fixed in an update where the HE cars bonuses were not applied online.
But thank you for mentioning Clean racing - everyone always seems to for get about that.
