So are we content with floating cars?

When this first appeared after the BM update, I was like “they know this as well and will probably fix it with the next update” but now 2 updates later and we’re still floating at the festival sites and it appears that no one cares about it. So my question to the community is: Do we care or is all well?

I’m afraid I don’t know what you’re talking about.

He’s talking about the shadow bug on the cars in festival sites.

Haven’t noticed it. If it’s happening when you enter the Festival, there are other bugs that irritate me more - particularly the one where the car randomly bounces, occasionally flips, and even gets hurled across the showroom floor from time to time. Mind you, entering Forzavista during those issues enlightened me to the fact that the showroom appears to be actually floating high above the site, which is mildly interesting.

Yes its wrong but i dont care. It has nothing to do with gameplay.

You’re right it has nothing to do with game play but it does affect overall QC. to me, this shows a complete lack of attention to detail and it opens up a Pandoras box of acceptable defects. So you’re saying floating cars at Festival sites don’t bother you in FH3, so for FH4 they allow more locatioms with floating cars to pass through QA. They don’t affect game play and the users don’t seem to mind. Where is the line in the sand that they have to cross before you care?

Gameplay is the line.

Yes they should fix this and other bugs but not before fixing bugs that affect gameplay.

We care, yes.

It’s just the devs that don’t…

I agree with SatNiteEduardo, i honestly prefear they focus on gameplay bugs before this Visual bugs that won’t affect game play.

Yes, of course we care about the bug. It’s just a bit deflating when it feels like the developers don’t know we exist, and we’ve already talked about it. As well as various other bugs. So you just kinda lose the steam for it after a while.

I’m 42 yo and i play videogames since i was 12, there was no forum, no livestream and no internet… I appreciate the dialogue with developers but once the game run smooth and i see they are working on it in the right way i don’t need at all to talk with them… Now i see people whining for the lack of dialogue for a Visual bug…

WOW! Saw this and had to comment.

I am 64 and have been playing internet games since 1988 (yah noobs… we had the internet in 1988  ). What passes for customer support these days is a down right shame!! Back in the ‘olden days’, developers actually paid attention to what their customers were saying…and let the customers know! Now, the devs insulate themselves with ‘hired hands’ (no offense to the mods…been one :-)) and feel that should allow them to ignore customer issues until they become critical. Unfortunately, it is endemic these days…“customer service” is more accurately described as "customer disservice.

Back on point (I’m old and easily distracted ). Yes, this is a minor bug. It doesn’t impact game play. However, the floating car bug is more than just a minor cosmetic bug, it goes to the heart and soul of video games. It creates a flashpoint that can totally negate the suspension of disbelief. Without the suspension of disbelief… video games dry up and blow way. In the end, going on for this long just says “no one cares”. :-{.

Take care and have fun… thas the point.

In the 70’s and 80’s even game breaking bugs were seen as a funny quirks (No-one cared if you couldn’t complete the game, you just tried to get as far as you could). These days people want perfection and they want it for FREE, neither of which is possible.

FREE!?!?!? Last time i checked I paid $130 +/- for this game. I don’t want bugs fixed for free, but if I’m playing a racing game based somewhat on reality, I’d prefer it if cars didn’t levitate in game.

Noticed the glitch but don’t care.

What dialogue with what developers? Devs don’t post here, I haven’t seen a lick of feedback from T10/PG in regards to game play and bugs.

Ex:
Forums-driveatars cheat, engine sounds are terrible, cars float at Festival locations, which BTW were supposed to be the focal points of the game
T10-says nothing then releases patch where the camera of the drone gets stabilized in drone mode.

You’re just making too much sense…
To the guys that say that it doesn’t affect gameplay:
“Gameplay”… what is gameplay? I see “gameplay” as being ANY part of the game that happens while I’m playing it. Sitting at or driving within a festival site is a part of gameplay. True that the cars drive the same, floating or not, but would you be ok if the cars floated everywhere? It wouldn’t affect gameplay, in your definition, right? Your cars would drive the same, they would just look really stupid when you took pictures. And, to that, is a feature of the game, like taking pictures, a part of gameplay? If I’m taking pictures while I’m playing the game, yes, IMO. And I do like to take pictures of my cars within festival sites. So it does affect gameplay.

Gameplay is the specific way in which players interact with a game, and in particular with video games. Gameplay is the pattern defined through the game rules, connection between player and the game, challenges and overcoming them, plot and player’s connection with it. Video game gameplay is distinct from graphics and audio elements.

Just sayin’
