Signifier when a car isn't available in the autoshow

This is something extremely simple that I’ve been asking for years (since the Horizon 4 days), yet it’s never been added.

Unlike the design of most racing games nowadays, I am not a “quantity” collector when it comes to cars in racing games. I want to own cars that are valuable, rare or I think are useful/cool. That being said, Horizon 5 is constantly cramming your garage with random cars given as rewards or wheelspin prizes. I don’t want all this clutter in my garage, so I end up deleting them (or auctioning them off if valuable)

The problem is that I want to own every single non-autoshow car possible. It’s like an OCD-type obsession for me (likely brought on by me missing out on several FH3 cars, a compulsion that to this day has not left me) and with quite literally HUNDREDS of non-autoshow cars to keep track of trying to clear out my garage is beyond a hassle.

The closest thing in-game to a solution to this is to go to the car collection menu and see if the “Y - PURCHASE” button is on the car or not. This is such a hassle and requires backing out of your garage and going to an entirely different menu. You have to remember which cars didn’t have the purchase prompt, or go out of your way to record/take pictures of you scrolling through the list.

I’ve accidentally deleted valuable cars on various occasions, some of which I still can’t get back. The worst part is some cars look so similar, you end up removing the wrong one.

Please, please, please Playground. Have a little icon or whatever on the rarity color bar or something indicating it’s not available in the autoshow. PLEASE.

I’d just deleted my 512TR the other day without even realizing. Only now scrolling through the Backstage Pass menu do I realize I did this. Thankfully I used a pass to get it back immediately, but that roster is a fraction of a fraction of all the cars you can’t get out of the autoshow.

I totally agree, I feel like you could summarize your post a little bit. I was thinking an icon to show if the car is not available to purchase in the autoshow as well as an approximate auction house value. This would ensure no accidental deletions of rare and valuable cars.
