It all started back in 1997 when Carroll Shelby in cooperation with GM unveiled an original Series 1. That came with Northstar V8 available either as Naturally aspirated or Supercharged.

It was produced between 1998 and 2005. During this run, Shelby sold 249 cars.

In 2006, they decided to come up with 2nd gen called Series 2. But that never seen a production line as the emission and safety rules for new cars drastically changed and the whole project ran out of money. And it just died.

Nothing happened until 2018 when Wingard Motorsports bought rights to it and decided to bring it back. But they only sold 4 cars without engines.

However, they are stubborn and want to complete it. So, they decided to give it another try this year.

They did a few changes to original (most noticeably, they created all new coupé body style), and are ready to sell it either without engine, with 7.0 Ford Windsor V8, 7.3 Ford Godzilla V8, or as an electric car.

So my vote goes to supercharged original Series 1 and current Coupé Series 2 with 7.0 Windsor V8

Would love to have the Series 2 Coupe.

Me too. It’s absolutely gorgeous. A spiritual successor of legendary Daytona Coupé.

I would like to suggest the '24 Shelby Series 2.
