No, they will be achievable through seasonal events too.

Good, cause I really want that Prelude, but I’ve never touched the route creator.

Edit: Did they actually say they would be available as seasonal rewards or just that they would be available exclusively through competitions?

Found the missing tracks. From the first routecomp so not even valid tracks for the rules. Wish I knew the rules were optional

Must be a stupid question but: i know that there will be more car packs but are they gonna be paid for everyone or would they still be free?

“Will there be more car packs?”
“We have many many more cars lined up, loads of them will be free, some of them will have DLCs that they’ll be attached to, but yes, we’ll be adding more and more cars”

Well thank you mate for the answer. Hopefully that i will not be tempted to pay more for the DLC’s as i have the Ultimate Edition and i’ve already payed big money on that

I am probably going to dissapoint you, but the Ultimate Edition that you (and I and many others) have bought, might be not so Ultimte as you think.
Sure, they will give us some free cars you can win each month in the future, mostly cars from older forza’s.
However, If you look at the trend of previous forza’s, the next carpacks (8 cars a pack) you will have to pay.

So still nothing about fixing rivals? When is FM8 coming because I need a good racing game.

Okay. So routecomp2. Rules are no resubmissions from past contest and example is summer entries had to be #9 gymkhana focus which is s class and track time of five minutes max.

However, this one is winner… From routecomp 1, anything goes A class and six minutes race time.

Oh, I fully agree. Those folks made routes they think are enjoyable and did not put them up for routecomp2. Fun routes should be enjoyed. The concept of the community challenges is fantastic. Personally I like making routes to share with friends and for others to enjoy.

But when things not even close to within rules, win contests and prizes, why would I waste my time putting in rule valid entries? The focus one is prime examples. I dont like the hoon or drift cars visually, let alone their tunes. But I spent a few days of my time available for play making tracks specific for that car in a full stock configuration so they are challenging yet fun without needing to spend a bunch of time retuning and hard course memorization. I didnt even touch air pressure.

Why do that when I coulda plonked that onto copperhead road and called it a day.

Simple question, that I must have missed the answer to, but how do mere mortals get the Regalia?
I hope it is not a beat the Experts plus levels Reward!

We havent gotten much info yet on that. All we know is the regalia will be an event reward, but then there is the regalia type d that will be a prize which you need the regalia for. Outside of that, no details.

My only confusion from the stream is, what’s the reward car from the new Horizon Story? In the stream, it’s stated it’s the Gymkhana 9 Hoonigan Focus RS RX, but they also make it sound like it’s an exclusive model—which it isn’t. And then posts on the first page of this thread from staff members state the Gymkhana 10 RS RX and Gymkhana 9 RS RX in different posts. Any clarification?

… about this routecomp thing… Have a different ponder.

In the main stickies for the route competition, they have a subject about the rules and contests not running over into other months.

https://forums.forza.net/turn10_postsm1054951_Competition-News--Updated-February-4th--2019.aspx#post_1054951

So over half of the routes entered during this January to February would have been in violation of this policy. I had posted all mine on the first. So wouldn’t these have been in violation of that policy? Or was because that competition was closed other things? Perhaps mine were ineligible because it ran into another month? But then how were ones from last year allowed to be winners in a jan contest that ended in feb if, and I quote:

“HOWEVER: Due to a boring and complicated legal policy we cannot run contests that are active from one month into another month. I am currently looking into seeing if we can change this.”

So ergo, is this whole routecomp in general illegal? Was it ended early and the using old one just an excuse to cover a legal faux pas instead of just admitting an error and oversight?

Or perhaps they are a month behind on choosing the winning routes and February routes will be featured in March?

Nope. Routecomp1 was back last year. Throwdown in Snow Down was my entry and was a winner from that one. Two other tracks of mine from that contest have also been seen. “Knights of the Round” from the summer community Championship and this very spring “Grassroots” was another one of my routes.

So back in January, they posted “routecomp2”. Very specific rules for eligibility, including this one:

“• The route must be designed by you only and be your creation. Routes submitted previously are not allowed and therefore may disqualify you from the current & future contests.”

The following link is for the contest rules so you can see them all. Rulecomp 1 had some ambiguity and issues, but this one was very, VERY VERY VERY! Well addressed and specific in what they were looking for. Specifically the summer event which had to be submitted and tested around one specific car. It addresses and recommends having the theme of the track around the recommended cars.

https://forums.forza.net/turn10_postsm1044222_Forza-Horizon-4-Route-Creation-Contest---Routecomp2.aspx#post_1044222

  • Summer: 2016 Hoonigan Gymkhana 9 Ford Focus RS RX, (‘S1’ Class)
  • Autumn: Classic Rally, (Max PI: 'C’600)
  • Winter: Offroad Buggies, (Max PI: 'A’800)
  • Spring: Modern Sports Cars, (Max PI: 'S1’900)

So only three entries for routecomp2 were selected as winners, and they were amongst only the first half which were entered in january when the contest was announced. The other selected as winners did not meet these rules classifications… Nor did they meet multiple other rules stipulated in the contest.

That is why we are so Irate. Route creation isn’t fast. It takes hours just to plan and find a good route. Then you are doing the route multiple times to fix drivertar errors and checkpoint issues. You cannot edit a route. You need to restart from scratch. Then you test to verify the best PI rating for that track. Test to consider best time of day and weather. For me to do one route takes usually a day’s available time for play at the minimum. So I submitted eight routes. So not 24 hours, just the Couple hours I have for play per day, but that was effectively 12 day’s of my play time doing routecomp focus vs racing, forzathons and all that.

I do it because I like making routes. Routecomp though gives me that extra chance to share my tracks so more people can enjoy em and I can get that feedback. Then when I see them show up in game suddenly? That made my day. Logging on and seeing the likes in my inbox means people are enjoying them so this time I gave that really extra effort to make something truly unique and fit to the best of my abilities the rules and thematic requirements.

But hey, doesn’t matter. Cause these tracks that arent even close to within rules or meeting the themes of the challenge can win.

So no, it isn’t the case you were thinking. They were routecomp2 winners even though the tracks were from routecomp1 and don’t fit routecomp2. It is insulting to those of us who put in considerable gametime to making our rules following courses.

Now if it was an error like I theorized above? Okay then. You know what? Come out and say that. Yeah, it is a game. But we still put effort into these routes. It is disrespectful and insulting to just have the rules set aside to choose stuff that wasnt even entered without any form of forewarning or explaination. Double that up if we are getting lied to by not admitting when an error is made. If the contest was in error? Then say whoops, cancel it and send a message to everybody to re-enter during one week that is fully in Feb.

But do not lie or skirt the truth with me, or twist the rules for your own convenience. I do not judge people by whether they make mistakes, but how they work with it after. This leaves a really, really sour taste in my mouth.

Very dissapointing Season Update.

Playground games seasonal … does even someone play this?
And then putting reward cars into that. That´s more worse than reward cars for pvp…

And still no class choice in MP Races… how hard can it be?
Every 2nd race is S2 class so quit join new team, start in the middle of one again.
Yesterday i had near 10 mins skipping races because always S2 S2 S2 S2 S2… GIVE US A CHOICE!

And your great support tickets… doesnt make any difference as we see. It wasnt even mentioned in the stream that something is
changing in MP - not even for season7.

You answered your question there. Obviously not, a reason why they are being featured as seasonal challenges now & will provide some attractive rewards.

It seems the whole support ticket system isn’t very efficient when it comes to suggestions/feedback. Just silence on important topics we have brought up countless times.

As mentioned in the Multiplayer thread:

Ranked Multiplayer and Club activity are the only things that’ll keep me playing but sadly both aren’t much fun right now; I haven’t played in a few weeks now and I’m not missing the experience at all.

The updates/additions mentioned for Series 6 will appeal to some people but they’re not for me, sorry.

Oh well, DiRT Rally 2.0 isn’t far away; that’ll keep me busy

I mean, yeah: This update is bad. The cars are nice, but the “content” we get in this “content update”? Still no championships, still no FH3-like rivals mode… I honestly think they are holding back certain features. They´ve said they want to listen to the community, but how many people have actually asked for a new Horizon Story? What about private lobbies, which may be the biggest complaint by the community? Horizon 4 is an amazing game, so please do not ruin it by not listening to the players, since without them you are nothing…
