rivals are still down and this has yet to make a return. I really hope they fix this. I remember when they were pushing this game that one of the top features to use was rivals anywhere. Well looks like they need to fix some stuff. Maybe there next selling point should be top of the line state of the art servers that can handle a little traffic spike here and there. Other than that I hope the dart tune I’m working on will at least net me the 229. marker to get the badge and title thingy.

It may sound silly to ask this but I’ll ask it anyway: where can I find the challenge? I’ve been searching on Rivals Mode for it and I just can´t find a September Bounty Hunter Challenge. I wonder if it’s only for VIP’s! Thanks in advance…

just curious i read elsewhere that the 69 camaro is not allowed as its a sports car and i been using same body style pontiac t/a as a test bed whilst servers are down does this mean my t/a is not eligble? im at work at present so can some one please clear up whens a muscle car not a muscle car lol!! and what cars i should be looking to tune.thanks

Judge it is then, I have one that should hit a 23/22 I don’t know how much room this jonni guy has given us before he starts improving but something tells me he’s holding back a bit
the bounty challenge is still not available I posted a time but scince forza has been having all these problems I wonder if I will be able to post a faster time they took the prague and bathhurst challenge away.i am sure johnny is holing back he will end up somewere in the 2:23-2:25 imo they always sanbag

Got 2:28 of the needed 2:29 time, nothing unlocked. No badge, no title, no challenge achievement.
People originally have unlocked the challenge on September 5th and 6th with DIRTY times.
Now I do the same thing with a dirty time, and it doesn’t unlock.
This challenge is impossible now that it has been broken.
Turn10 needs to fix this ASAP.
So is it even true that you cannot have the exclamation point come up while racing?
(It appears next to the current lap time, and can never go away once you get it.)
This is straight-up impossible to if you CANNOT use any rewinds, touch any wall, touch any grass, go-off course for even a moment…etc.
Can’t make 2:28 under all those restrictions.
Is there something else that went wrong here?
I was using auto transmission, Nova SS 396 (C 500), ABS on, steering:normal, TCS & STM on. Used someone’s tune setup.
Is it a problem if I don’t see the locked badge and title anywhere? I don’t see anything, not even locked.
If its really going to be this hard, my 100% challenge/achievement account is ruined.

Quick summary: Fix the challenge so it unlocks with a dirty time, if 2:29 was beaten.
Is it possible that the time was written wrong on the challenge? Its says beat 2:29 but…
I read this from the person who set the original time for this challenge:
"…I’m sitting at 2:28.348 currently,… "

I’ve compared with many people,
and I’m seeing some who beat 2:29 with a clean time and they don’t have it unlocked.
People beating the time from September 10th onwards, even with a clean time, don’t have it unlocked…
A specific example: Someone with 2:26 clean doesn’t even have it…
It must be just plain broken if that’s the case.
Not sure what is going on but you can get a clean lap after a dirty, just make sure the final sector of previous lap is clean.

No offence mate but its not a 10/10 difficulty. 1000s of people have completed it quite easy.
why don’t you see it as a challenge. worth more than a 100 gamerscore for typing your name or 50G for watching a movie.

I posted a clean 2:26.923 for this Monthly Rivals event (did beat johniwanna set as my rival), but didn’t get badge or title.
Maybe it has something to do with the ongoing problems with multiplayer and rivals (sometimes I cannot get into multiplayer or rivals, I have to restart FM5 in order to be able to get in), but I really don’t know. I’ll try it again later …
Does this have to be done on a clean lap?
It will take me over 100+ hours of practice until I can do it perfectly (no rewinds or violations).
People on the leaderboard, clean and dirty times that have beaten 2:29, seem to not have the challenge unlocked. What is happening…
Sounds like there’s definitely issues considering you did it perfectly and should have it.
I too set a ghost, is the problem that we set a rival ghost?
Just be patient.
I beat Johns time on my first flying lap on the Friday and didn’t get the badge or title, that unlocked on the Sunday, possibly because of all the server errors and whatnot so if you beat the 2:28.3 that John has set (just to make sure the challenge wasn’t just badly worded) then fear not, it will unlock when everything is up and running smoothly again.
And trust me, it’s not all that difficult and yes it has to be a clean lap. You only really need to watch yourself in the top section so follow John’s ghost and just make sure you are ahead after the top section because the car he used to set the time wasn’t tuned for speed or acceleration so if you are even a millimetre ahead out of hairpin at the bottom of the hill, as long as you have better accel and top speed you’ll easily defeat the time.
There are also plenty of tunes out there for cars John himself didn’t try. If you really want it to be easier go get the Pontiac Judge GTO and QuickCarlos’ tune and it should be rather easy.
If I tap a wall and get the exclamation point violation, do I have to restart from the beginning?

Any recommendations for cars/tune setups that can easily beat 2:29 are appreciated.
Try looking at relaxedprkids thread in the tuning section on the forums. He has a mix of power and handling tunes.
I got a clean 2.27 on the weekend and got the challenge 2 days later.
I think a dirty lap will count.
I say yours will pop in a day or two.
Regarding dirty laps you do not need to restart. Just keep the final sector clean and then keep the next lap clean.
If you dirty the lap in the first two sectors then your lap will stay dirty, but if you dirty it in the final sector you can rewind to a point before the screwup and then carry on and it shouldn’t recognise the incident and the following lap will start as clean.
It should be possible using automatic but obviously it will be slightly more of a struggle.
