Screen tearing like crazy

I’m getting screen tearing I wanna know who else is having the same problem…

MSI Laptop
Cpu- Intel 5700
Gpu- Nvidia GTX 970m
Storage - Samsung 950 M.2 NVME
Ram- 16GB DDR3 1866 mhz
Display-1920*1080 60hz No G-Sync
Windows 10 version 1511

I just want it to not have any screen tearing any answers?

Screen tearing is usually connected to Vsync. Try playing with the settings there and see if it improves things (both ingame and if that doesn´t work in the nvidia driver settings).

Also: Do you have the latest display driver installed?

I assume v-sync is automatically on by default… And yes I do have the latest driver from GeForce experience.

Disable your intel GPU.

from the known issues thread:

Hybrid GPU laptops may experience tearing

Laptops equipped with both an integrated GPU and a dedicated GPU may experience significant screen tearing / corruption when playing the game in full screen.

So, did you fact check that assumption? And if it was turned on, did you try turning it to off or adaptive?

If you don´t say anything here then nobody can help you.

This seems to be a known issue of the beta with laptops that both have iGPUs and dedicated GPUs.

Thanks for clearing that up… So it’s not really on my end.

The race I’ve noticed it. After that I went to look at the video settings of the game nothing about v-sync I will play with the settings more. I did go to the Nvidia control panel and v sync was on the application setting so I changed it to on to see if that made a difference but it didn’t. So I think the game is running in borederless window then but I didn’t have that much time to play with it. I’m at work so I have to wait to after work to straight things out.

Yup, at least they acknowledge that issue and probably will fix it in the coming months.

Also getting mas screen tear with my razor blade 14" GTX765m.

Tried disabling the Intel HD graphics card and forcing Vsinc on in the Nvidea panel.
still randomly screen tears but its a known bug and looking foward to Laptop update!

this game is great finally Forza on PC. thank you Turn10
