Does anyone know how i can get a replay from a race onto my computer. i have tried to share it and look in the gallery but it is not there.
Forgive me if I am mistaken here, because it has been awhile since I’ve done any Forza content creation; but, I do believe the video feature of the ForzaMotorsport.net gallery is only used in conjunction with the late Xbox 360 titles. Now, with the Xbox One’s Game DVR feature, clips can be recorded and retrieved on your computer via your Xbox account’s OneDrive application. This saves Turn 10 from having to eat up their server space with video files and, for the end user, results in longer videos (up to 5 minutes) in higher resolution (720p).
The only real way to do it is by using the Upload/Upload Studio app on the Xbox One. But even then we’re limited to 5 minutes in length. I dunno, blame MS for this. We really need more than 5 minutes. Or you could create two videos and stich them together in the app.
But anyway, only real way to do it without any extra equipment is to start your replay going in the game. When it’s finished, double press the controller guide button, snap open Game DVR (actually do this first if you want), and then select record the last five minutes. The Xbox will then save the last five minutes of gameplay as a video in your Game DVR section. You then need to open that video in the Game DVR section in Upload Studio. Then you need to share that video in Upload. When you’re uploading the video make sure you also choose “share with One Drive” and the video will also be uploaded to your One Drive. You then need to go into One Drive on your PC and download the video to your PC from there.
Bit of a pain but it works.
Great explanation, thanks! This should come handy.
Since Action! won’t record correctly with FM6 I used Game DVR on the PC to record the replay and you can increase the quality settings with no apparent limit to the recording time.
