Same Room Multiplayer

Prior to having to reinstall Forza 5, I was able to do a few races.
One thing I can’t figure out is how to do multiplayer. I don’t mean
online multiplayer, but two people, two controllers, same room,
same Xbox. When I go to free play, I see a “Player 2”, but can’t
access it or add/create a second player. How do I do this?

though I haven’t played Split Screen to find out all the details. Give that a try and if it doesn’t work, report back.

Sorry, it did not work. But, I did discover if the second person logs in as “Guest”, split screen multiplayer
works fine.
