Roadsters and Convertibles

Will Forza Horizon 3 bring back the roadsters we saw in the original Horizon? E.g. Audi R8 GT Spyder, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, etc…

I’m sure that IF the manurfactures have signed agreements that will allow those types into the game, then we’ll see them rolling around Surfers Paradise, or rolling along The Great Ocean a Road that runs along next to the Twelve Apposiles.

A convertible would be lovely, that’s for sure. Rest assured, if they have been listed for inclusion, then you’ll see them. Remembering that there’s a release number of 350 cars, not including he bonus cars etc. I’d expect that the 6 monthly will deliver the 42 additional cars, so there’s room for some really interesting surprises.

Just enjoy what they deliver mate, there’s been months of work gone into every one of the cars that have never appeared in any recent Forza game. So there’s a swath of cars that have required extensive scanning, detail photo examinations, technical specs, dyno testing etc etc.

You have to understand, almost all of the cars being included, have been in the works for literally several months on each car, if not yrs. just imagine the size of the different teams needed to render each and every car, yet do it I just a small 12-24 month period.

That’s true dedication on all levels, the car construction team/s will be just continually working on cars as they become available. Building up a library of cars that developers can pull from. Remembering, that for each car, Turn 10 and Playground a Games have to obtain separate legal releases in order to drive, photograph, scan, test, and define each ones unique characters.

Now multiply that by 350 plus vehicles, and you’ll get a small des of just how much work goes into jet one car, let alone 350 plus vehicles

Allowing the other promo teams to build the cars into packs, then release them into the wild Australian bus. Lol.

In Forza Horizon 1 there were a lot of spyder cars. Examples- Aventador J, Audi R8 topless version, Reventon Roadster… There are hardly any in Horizon 2 and I’m really hoping they have some convertibles in Horizon 3. It would be cool seeing as they have rain, so you could be driving with the top down - it starts raining - you pull over and put the roof up. No roof makes a big difference and it’s pretty stupid when I’m in a Mazda mx5 in the rain and can’t put the roof up…

It’s even more stupid when it’s summer, the sun is shining brighter than it ever shined before, and you’re driving around with your hardtop on and windows up in a car with no A/C…

There are some convertibles in the game but I don’t think we’ll see them as fully featured as in Horizon 1 until Playground implements them into the rain properly, ie. with ways to switch between top and no top. Driving in the blazing heat of the outback with the hardtop up looks crazy, but nowhere near as ridiculous as driving in the pouring rain with the top down.

Initial car list is pretty much done, if not less than 10 cars away from being done. Looks like as many roadsters/verts as FH2

Well we have the Rolls Royce Dawn
