Other than complaints of the controversial car progression system, this is exactly why I made a suggestion in the Features Hub (economy/progression) where all reward cars from completing Builders Cup, Open Series and Featured Tours should be available under “Buy Cars” and as rental cars in Free Play.
The more you guys keep them as time-limited exclusive rewards, the more this encourages bad behaviors on players’ parts, resorting to panic-playing just to get a reward car (this isn’t new, as this is basically Horizon’s Festival Playlist in a nutshell, really.)
Not only are these cars basically unavailable to everyone after a while, but even with the tours themselves expiring after every update (with the idea of “rotation” instead of making them permanent) really negates the idea of an expanding and evolving career mode, which is already bare-bones enough.
What only stays are the main Builders Cup tours and their respective reward cars, and yet the cars aren’t, again… available to buy and rent in Free Play. Forza Motorsport also lacks an Auction House, so if you miss out on these cars, chances of trying to get them again are next to nothing.
You also have to consider that your playerbase will encounter circumstances that prevent them from having access to play the game, be it work, vacation or other such things. I’m speaking for everyone here as people want to play at their own pace, instead of being dictated by a certain reward or mechanic that keeps players on their toes in a bad way.
