[RACE] SweedishThunder's 130+ FM6 NASCAR replicas

Thanks for the background info on the Falcon! I know nothing about the car; the only reason I used it was because my daughter picked it out for me to put a livery on.
Also thanks for downloading some of my work. The "Like"s are just bonuses in my book. I really enjoy them but never expect them.

No probe mate. I’ve had to edit the text above, as the silly Filter even blocks out the designated name given to the car by Ford Australia…lol

Ford Australia made some awesome GTs, many of which would make great racing components in Forza. Anything from the first XR GT through to the final XC GT. All of which came out with both the Small Block Windsor and the Big Block Clevelands.

Both engine types delivered some awesome racing engines and brought the Holden Vs Ford rivalry to its high heaviness we now find Australian Motorsport in.

It’s why the V8 Supercars were formed, in part, and while there were different cars at times in the fields, it eventually just became a pure Holden Vs Ford V8 rivalry for several years.

Only breaking out of it recently to include the likes of the Nissans, Mercedies and soon the Toyotas will be entering their cars into the 9mth long annual series.

See if you can wrap some paint around the '72 HQ GTS Monaro, that way they could make a nice pair of racers running around the likes of Indy and Daytona??

good to hear about the ‘likes’ kit-Kat… It’s the first thing I do once I’ve DL’d the livery. Do simple, takes about a minute in total to do.

Interesting take on both cars mate.

I think the lower I think the lower profile of the Holden lends itself to a better look than the Chevy.??

Looks neat, will grab one later today…

I agree, Oz.
The holden carries this livery better than the Chevy. I think I’m spoiled with liveries that take up most of the space on the Chevy (especially the rear quarter panels), and with this one being so “clean” (i.e. without enough sponsors in my mind, but I thought I’d make this one anyways because it was an easy way to cover yet another driver I had not previously covered). I enjoy creating replicas of cars where the drivers haven’t been covered too well in Forza.
Since I also tweet all my designs on Twitter, it’s a fun and simple way to share with the drivers as well as the sponsors there that they are now represented in a major racing game.

Yeah, the Holden’s ‘squatty’ look always works well, especially when lowered and fitted with some nice alloy wheels. The Chey however, has a very short rearend and looks somewhat stunted, or seems like it’s been hit in the rear.

Plus the expansive flat bonnet allows for some nice painting opportunities.

In RL, I did a gloss black HQ for a customer, with just a simple piece of art on the rear pillar section. It was a rotting skull, shaded green like mouldy bones etc, with eyes in their sockets, and bullet holes in the neck and forefhead.

Blood droplets ran down from the bullet holes, it was done with semi-solid paint, and I used can’t and pearlescent paints to build volumn and shape to the skull and neck. Looked amazing in the sun.

Sadly I lost my pics from back in those days, the 70-80’s, so I font have anything to show off …

Great looking cars. As a Nascar fan I have alot of your designs. I want to know if you have done any new Kevin Harvick, His Busch beer paint schemes yet, if so what cars

I have been working on the busch light scheme, nothing released yet but I will let you know when I’m done ‘I’m not sponsoring on his page, just trying to contribute to fulfill the needs of all the amazing nascar fan’s out there in the forza world.’

No need to worry about sharing your plans in this thread, buddy. I think our primary goal as NASCAR scheme painters in Forza is to get as many paint schemes out in the games for more people to enjoy, so the more painter they get to hear about, the better! Besides, judging by the number of your stars on your shared designs, more and more players are realizing that your paints are top notch quality!

I haven’t done any new #4 Harvick cars, and I won’t make any either. There’s plenty of different #4 schemes made by me, and there are so many other drivers out there that deserve some more designs.

I have intentions ob making a 4 car, no promises but don’t be to surprised to see the '16 ditech and outback. If SweedishThunder has taught me anything, it is to make no promises.

Is there any chance for some new Kyle Larson liveries any time soon?

Probably not. The designer ‘Outkast6 ACTUAL’ is your best choice for more #42 Kyle Larson liveries.
