I have been mega busy of late and have not got much painting time. I have managed to get on the XBOX & do a couple of races if I am lucky before I roll into bed of a night lately.
With that in mind I have decided to post some WIP pictures to show some progress on what I am working on.
I have mostly been working on a newer version of the BMW Alpina B6 from the 2009 24 hours of Nurburgring. I painted a similar livery back in Forza 4, it is a shame but the old BMW M6 is no longer in this game so I am making do with the BMW M6 Coupe 2013 addiction. I am going to have to use some artistic licence to get all the decals on tis version of the car.
I have used metallic as the base which has proved difficult painting body mods on the car on the transitions between metallic & solid colour surfaces. Anyhow, here is what I have so far.

True it is a bit slow around the forums. I remember a time when you would post a livery & have 10-15 comments within an hour or two.
Interestingly people look your garage page & you get views, but not much on the comment front?
I will be painting up a fair few cars but not the way I used to bang them out before. Things slowed a bit when I got married, then I moved house and now I have a 19 month old daughter so time is a tad more limited these days. Still, back to the paint booth.
Second livery is almost done, its a bit of a cop out but “ROSE” is on the way as 95% of the decals were done creating “ELWOOD”.
I am going to try to coax BlueReaper (Harvey) back to the forums & we will se from there.
Love the Aston Stevo. Now I know which one it is I will grab the paint.
First livery in and you have set a very high standard for yourself, just like back in 2, 3 and 4. Looking forward to the next ones.
The APEX crew are still here. We might not be getting the feedback here on the forums like days gone but the downloads say different. I need to get off the wheel and paint some more.
Always appreciate feedback. “ELWOOD” just felt like the livery I should come back with. I feel I have done it more justice this time around. The Jeager-LeCoutre watch has far more detail than on past versions of the car I have painted. I was able to manipulate many logos on the car to overcome the glitches as you transition from one panel of the Vantage to another. I am very pleased with the final result.
It’s great to know more of the apex guys are around. I am off to hunt down your gallery now.
