Hello, I’ve been painting in Forza for a while, mainly specialising in recreating liveries from other games; mainly from GRID/DiRT but now I’m also branching out into historical replicas and I have a few ideas for some original(ish) designs.
My first three offerings in FH3 are:
Monster Stadium Truck livery based on the Monster team from GRID Autosport:
GRID Autosport Black Edition White Ravenwest Alumi Craft Class 10:
And finally a quick historic and Australia-appropriate design, Bob Jane’s 1962 ATCC-winning Jaguar Mk II:
I have more stuff from GRID 2 and GRID Autosport on the way, as well as from DiRT 2, 3 and Showdown. Also rumour has it the Motorstorm Festival will be making it’s way to Australia soon…
I stuck to the Grid Autosport sponsors as according to GRID lore (lol what a concept) its the most recent “canon” livery. I have the layer groups to do the original GRID Ravenwest scheme with the bird design but i prefer the newer one.
I just realised the pictures are tiny so i’ll make them bigger.
The rumours appear to be true, an aircraft carrier has been spotted off the coast of Byron Bay; a stream of off-road and racing vehicles are now making their way to the Horizon Festival. Among them are what appear to be military vehicles which originally belonged to Dusklite, a PMC involved in the aftermath of a major earthquake in a US city five years ago (AKA Motorstorm Apocalypse. I wanted to do something with the LM002 and this seemed like a fun idea)
Secondly after trying to make the Reliant Supervan more drivable and surviving a lap of the Goliath circuit in it, I thought it deserved a better paintjob:
I have more game-related liveries on the way, expect more from Motorstorm and the GRID/DiRT series and even a few original ideas too.
Time for some more liveries, first of all perhaps the most layer-intensive design yet. I’m a big fan of the racing clubs in GRID 2, I think their liveries are distinctive and really interesting so I have begun recreating them here. First of all I’ve done a livery from the Eliminacion club on the Nissan GT-R Horizon Edition which is also available on the normal 2017 GT-R:
Secondly a less impressive but original drift livery for the Ford Crown Vic:
I’ve got some more Ravenwest cars in the works including a quasi-replica of the bonus livery in Dirt 2, some of the more obscure DLC cars from Motorstorm Apocalypse, more GRID 2 club and GRID Autosport team liveries and I may branch out into other games like Asphalt 8, Ridge Racer or maybe Flatout.
Time for another new arrival from the Motorstorm festival, this time a replica of the incredibly rare car given out in Motorstorm Apocalypse by the game’s developers in very limited numbers, the “Italia Tauromachia” for the not-quite-as-rare Horizon Edition Countach LP5000 QV:
Time for a fairly quick and easy paintjob for the Gymkhana Focus based on a livery from Dirt 2 I put together while procrastinating to avoid working on a more complex design:
Thanks, its definitely my best paintjob to date I think. I can easily make it on other cars so can take requests, same with the Ravenwest stuff - I haven’t made too many as it gets boring looking at grey and black every time but they are my most popular designs.
