I’ve been playing a lot of Forza since FH3 (well, I played FM1 and 2 back in the day as well…) and in FM7 I played around with the paint editor for the first time. Now in FH4 I’ve gotten more into it - mostly because I absolutely love the dirt physics of the game and love just blasting around in rally builds.
If you want to use my paints, just look for my gamertag “tiefundbreit”.
I will pretty much only be creating replicas of rally / race liverys of real cars or some realistic homages / tributes or original race / rally paint schemes.
My main point of interest is retro cars, so that’s what you’ll end up seeing here…
Which brings me to my first paint!
In 1981, Ferrari Tuner Michelotto entered the Entremont sponsored 308 GTB into the Group 4 rally category.
As we don’t have a 308 in the game and the 288 was intended for Group B anyways but never saw the circuit, I thought it a perfectly fitting paint scheme as a tribute.
The 288 with offroad suspension and rally tires and the right tune is actually a really, really fun and fast dirt monster. I’ll likely do a few more paints for this car in the future…

The 288 has been my favorite rally car for a long time going back to H2. It got a nice upgrade in performance in H4 due to the PI change.

Here’s what I’m working on currently - the Ford Escort used by the Ruch brothers (the ones that drove a pair of foxbody Mustangs in the DTM a few years later) in the ETCC in 1985. A deceptively simple design, but I thought it would be a nice exercise in recreating some of the logos. Still need to create the Castrol one, then it’s done and will be shared ingame.
Also, I am quite annoyed at how there’s no way to add matte decals on a glossy car. The bumpers are supposed to be flat black…

Nice job here on these two liveries! I really like the Ferrari and I am a huge fan of retro metal too so I’m excited to see where this gallery goes. Nice job on the Entremont logo on the Ferrari. You can clearly make logos very well, don’t cheap out with stock fonts. I know you could make the Castrol logo or the AutoVeri font for that matter. Keep up the good work and try making more of your own fonts, I hope to see more!

Yeah, I find the recreating of logos not all that hard, it just takes some time. Time which I’ve been missing the past week, lol.
Hope to get the Escort finished tomorrow.
In the meantime, my friends and I have been having a lot of fun with the Clio Forza Edition - it’s such a nimble and quick little thing that we’ve been racing a lot with it. My friends all grabbed some available liveries, but I wanted my own.
So as I had the logos from the Ferrari kicking around, I just quickly adapted the livery to fit the Renault. It’s even kind of fitting as Entremont is a french dairy producer.
Fun little exercise.

A friend grabbed a 288 today as well, so I whipped up a paint for him.
Inspired by the 1980 308 GTB with the famous Pioneer livery…
Painted it in FM7 and then imported. The editor there is SO much better!

Nice job on the rally liveries. Seeing your Entremenont car inspired me to rework my Pioneer 288 for FH4. Planning on posting it today. Nice stuff!
