ORIGINAL POST
After a prolonged absence from painting in FH2, I’m now back in the paint shop and my first livery is now complete. I was inspired to paint this after coming across the website for ‘The Paul Walker Foundation’ and the design incorporates some of associated logos of both the Foundation and its Award winners.

Car: 1995 Toyota Supra Fast & Furious Edition
Filename: Paul Walker Fdn

Incredible! Awesome detail and composition, and Paul’s likeness is spot on. Definitely need to pick this one up. Great work, Steve!

Cheers - thanks

Very well done mate, you captured Paul’s essence perfectly, will be downloading this.

Thanks for the feedback - I took a lot of time and care over the portrait in order to do him justice so good to know that it’s paid off!

The car looks even better in game. Great work.

Great tribute Renard!
Really cool

Hi AB - glad you like it.

Thanks for the nod Pat.

I’m now working on my Halloween Bash entry - WIP pic to follow.

quality work for a worthy cause, congratulations

A quick preview of my WIP for the Halloween Bash.

Got loads to do on this main vinyl not to mention a reasonably complex one for the side panels…and then building the remainder of the design before the 28th. Hmmm

Next steps are:

  1. Complete the facial shading and texturing
  2. Shade the hand
  3. Give her a nose job

I’ve also tweaked the eyes a little after this photo was taken.

That’s looking pretty creepy there Renard, I like it!

I’ve posted in Lamerz’s thread as you sort of asked a question about grids - check it out and let me know what you think/ if it makes sense to you. If needs be will try and do a more detailed tutorial with pictures to explain.

Cheers

Cheers DamMe - if anything it’s going to get creepier - my tribute to The Grudge.

Thanks for the tip btw - can’t believe I didn’t think of that!

No problem, glad it made sense.

Cool, the Grudge - was on my shortlist as a possible to paint - will keep an eye on how you’re getting on and if I can offer any suggestions along the way I will. Looks like you’re off to a great start though.

Scary!

I’ll check your update, if you want, I can split a nose in several parts to see the shape I use and how I combine them.
Hands are really complex, the base you have set will help your shading.

Cheers Ace - watch this space

That actually could be a real help lamerzcg - completed the facial shading last night and had a brief stab at the nose but wasn’t too happy with the results so scrapped what I’d done. The shading is really subtle in the source image and so the tricky bit is getting the nostrils and tip to project out of the image. Going to retry tonight when I’m less tired!

Halloween bash is looking great so far mate, I can’t wait to see how you finish it off!

Just the hand to go on the main image for the Halloween Bash

That will freak the hell out of people racing at night! haha!
Just park up in the shadows on a bend and when they slow to go round their lights will hit it

[AB]

Cheers Ace! AB - that’s a cracking idea, LOL!

My wife really doesn’t like it cos it gives her the heebie jeebies so can only work on it late at night…with the lights out.

I’ve cracked on with the hand which should be finished tonight provided it doesn’t strangle me first! Then it’s onto the secondary image and the elements that will bring it all together - quite excited about this one

Spooky as hell mate, those lips, among the rest of the face of course are looking fantastic! Excellent work.
