hey guys i have been toying with the 69 ss camaro for a bit wanting to see how fast it can go using these parts :
stock car engine, remove all restrictors from engine(make it 994 hp)
drag slicks,full weight reduction,sport roll cage, race springs,anti rolls, brakes,race clutch,race trans,race driveshaft, max rear tire width, weld racing magnum wheels,4"cowl hood
car should weigh in the 2800 range
now alot of people say it wont run any faster than a 9.3 or slower
i have managed a 9.267 using a full throttle launch i want to see if you guys have manage to get it faster with out awd, or the use of clutch slipping (if its still being used) i have a replay up labled 9.267 camaro

Edit* is there any reason you went for the sport roll cage over the race roll cage?
Best I can get with a sport cage is 9.300. Yours is fast as hell.
i did the sport cage for the weight its a pain to tune 1st to just barely spin around 7k and do a smooth grab (kinda like an awd does ) and i shifted about 500 rpms after the redline it was hard to do but i have done it 10 times already so its not a fluke

lol true you guys tend to go for the smaller faster cars i was looking for some of the old school muscle car crowd from the old forums
Ran a 9.267 as well(very slight drop catch almost full throttle). Didnt change the ratios on the race tranny just a 3.79 final. I will mess around with it later to see if I can get any more out of it.
@ flobo thanks for looking into the old camaro im glad to see yours ran a 9.267 too , this car just seems to hit some imaginary wall and refuses to go faster
Ive quit drag racing for awhile until i find a league racing true muscle cars. Plus guys are getting pissed off in these races and wrecking you off the starting line. Tired of seeing venom’s,and yellow-birds, and guys turning fwd to rwd or awd muscle cars its getting very comical.
