Camera:

Allow Proximity Radar to be activated by camera type

The new radar is great, but two things bothered me that I think could be improved. 1- I can only turn it on or off based on single or multiplayer mode. It would be good to be able to switch it based on camera type, since the option is more useful on the in-car camera types. 2- The option should be opt-out instead of opt-in. Based on how many people I see that didn’t knew proximity arrows exist, I think it will be the same with the radar. If the first suggestion is implemented, it could even be…

Multiplayer:

Proximity Radar enabled by default in FMP

Proximity radar should be enabled by default, just as you did in the days of proximity arrows. At the time users who do not follow the forum, our discussions or read the changelog will not even be informed of the new feature and in fact makes proximity radar useless For developers: please consider adding an opaque background or the option to select the opacity of the radar background.

Placement:

Proximity Radar - Placement above Minimap

Please add a placement above the mini map, placing it in the middle left. With this placement I want the Proximity Radar to be permanently visible.

Visual:

Proximity Radar - Permanently visable

Please add an option for the Proximity Radar to be permanently visable. Currently the radar pops in or out depending on if a car is within range of the radar. I’d prefer the option to have it permanently visible. I’m referring to the placements in the middle of the screen, I don’t know if it’s permanently visible when placed in place of the map.

Proximity radar showing also cars in front

I really like the implementation of the proximity radar (especially the option to choose place for it on the screen) but I have one suggestion: I’d like it to show also cars in front of my car. It could be optional. Sometimes it’s hard to judge how far my front bumper is from the opponent’s rear bumper (especially when sticking to the cockpit view), so it’d help me driving clean in the crowd and keeping optimal distance behind other cars in corners

Use the player's car color (or an approximate) in the Car Radar

As described in the title. This will bring more customization for the Proximity Car Radar, this feature could also be “toggleable” option.

Proximity Radar - Cars change colour based on proximity

Currently when cars get closer to you, the side that car is on changes colour (no colour, orange, red) based on proximity. I would like to see the option to have the car indicator itself change colour based on how close it is. In some interiors the grey blocks can become hard to spot against the dash, when they turn orange or red they should stand out more.

Proximity Radar - Cars show colour of group (Multiclass)

In Multiclass races, the mini map shows the dots of the cars in colour according to the group they are racing in. I would like to see an option for the Proximity radar to also apply these colours. This helps identifying the car close to you. If it’s a different colour than your car on the radar it’s racing in a different group and you should let them go.

Radar feedback : Angles

Angles: Improve Surrounding Car Angle positioning Improve surrounding car angle positioning in radar even if just slighly. Every car seems too straight and parrallell no matter what angle the surrounding cars are even drivng through a corner. Also from previous post: 1 radar on Map by default 2 make able to turn down so it’s faded or more transparent 3 colour options for own car and the alert colours (off/on etc) 4 size (scalable) 5 custom position (also all hud elements)
