Use to be one of my favorites tracks, but after that track been in every single circuit game . It’s time for newer tracks , more difficult tracks and more variety. This game being at 2-3k player count is the lowest the forza series ever been in and people like us want to make this game great again .
I’ve never got the love for Monza, such a boring track to race virtual cars on for me & that 1st chicane is always a nightmare on the opening lap in public lobbies, guaranteed. Misano & Imola are much better imo & something new to boot.
The problem with a lot of “modern” F1 tracks (and despite its age I rank Monza as a modern track due to its design features) is that they are fun in an F1 car but start going slower and they just get boring. Too wide with lots of run-off (Monza is an exception in the run-off regard), corner flow is built around high-speed but the really slow stuff works best for cars that can rotate very quickly too, so boaty (in comparison) road cars have to tip-toe around them at what feels like a glacial pace.
I’d still take it over any of the remaining fantasy tracks other than FK (and I’ll take absolutely anything over Dubai or Bernese Alps), but I’d like to see more club-level tracks or retro stuff like the old Interlagos layout. For things that can’t be laser-scanned I’m not super-fussed about accuracy as long as they look good and drive well.
I’d love to see real street circuits, but I’m not a fan of the fantasy ones. When I look at them, they just don’t seem like they could actually exist. Take the Rio circuit, for example—it goes over sidewalks, and the longer layout has steep drop-offs with no protection. I prefer more fantasy tracks like those seen in games like PGR because they feel more realistic. They have proper barriers and guardrails that make sense and seem like they could actually be built.
I have to praise the fantasy circuits in Forza Motorsport 23. They did an incredible job adapting them, and even someone with little knowledge of motorsport could believe they’re real. I really hope this approach is applied to new tracks. For example, Sunset Peninsula feels very realistic, and Maple Valley also looks like it could actually exist. I wasn’t too fond of Hakone and Gran Oak since they’re a bit too simple, but they still have that “could exist” vibe. If the new tracks have that same feeling, it would be amazing. Imagine something like Fujime Kaido, a mix of Bathurst and the Nordschleife, but set in the mountains, crossing a Japanese village—now that would be fantastic!
I mean I did ask forza to give any sign (back in sept)that this is a possibility and they didn’t say yea or no, but instead they joke around . Which is a yes itself, maybe that’s the track that’s coming in may since we all been begging for fujimi since fm5 and they said “fan favorite “ a Japan nordschleife just sounds perfect for this game and perfect for Hakone since those 2 are both in the same location . Also when you load into Hakone . She says the track is big which it’s definitely small/average , so they been hinting it the whole time
I’ve been following these rumors too, and I think it’s incredible to imagine Hakone as an extension of Fujime Kaido, or vice versa. But I can already picture the fans of the old FK layout crying on Twitter if too much changes, haha. Personally, I’d think it’s amazing and it would make total sense. I’m hoping it’s something like how the Nordschleife is to the Nürburgring, where we’d get both Hakone-Fujime Kaido together and then Fujime Kaido on its own as well. That would be perfect!
We pretty much all think the same way and feel the same thing it gotta be it then
. Just 2 and a half more months
. I hope they don’t cry about it , like we both said it make perfect sense for it to be an extension of Hakone. Fujimi didn’t have a pit stop, so after battling the hills , you come back down and refuel up . Oh man I could talk about this all day lmao
Just the track alone is already getting me excited, so imagine what it’ll be like with the cars being added alongside it. And if Hakone really was designed with Fujime Kaido in mind, I’m wondering if those 5 months might be enough to finish the track and maybe even include another one in the package. Maybe something simpler, or who knows, they could bring the drag mode to the game. There are plenty of possibilities, so I don’t think it’ll just be the track.
Yeah the track alone would be enough for me , but there’s definitely more since it’s the 20th anniversary. Definitely going to be a big update :). Honestly we all been begging for years and since they hinted to me back in sept. I feel like they been having this planned just waiting for the right time since fujimi was in the first game hence the 20th update in may. Also back in update 12-13 when they brought in private drift lobbies . They said public drift lobbies in the future , so drag and drift in may or even point to point races? and they could throw in a another track as a surprise . You aren’t wrong about that and I hope they bring in the soarer, chaser , Lexus IS300 etc
Great post!
I would personally add ALL of the fantasy tracks from FM3 and 4. That’s about it!
Thanks! I completely agree about bringing back all the fantasy tracks from FM3 and FM4. However, I think they should be updated to feel more like real-world circuits. For example, Prague could be Forza’s version of Baku with proper street circuit barriers, and Rio could have more fencing and race-specific details to make it feel more grounded while keeping its unique layout.
Give me Pikes Peak, that’s enough. This route is so varied that you don’t need anything else.
